Poor thing!...she's not having a great season in NYC so far :(.... Most of the shows she did last season are going to Jourdan Dunn right now

^ There's probably a reason for that! I hope Chanel does a whole lot better in London, Milan & Paris.

^ I doubt that she's shooting any thing at the moment....
It's strange...judging from her recent print work I assumed that she'd be alot more visible...especially in NYC. If she doesn't pick up pace in the next few days than I fear that it will be alot worse for her in Europe.

^ I wasn't really talking about photoshoots. Usually, when a younger, newer black model enters the modelling scene (now-a-days) you hardly see any other black model walk runways because there's usually only one black model needed to walk for the designers clothes, two at the most. But I have been seeing quite a few black models walk in NY recently. Not by most, but the usual designers.

^ It's the other way around I think. A newer, black model would have very stiff competition from the more established girl that's generally more in demand. Casting directors usually go for those girls that are/have been reasonably visible both in campaigns & eds. I don't know what's going on but it's really strange, anyway. You're right about the no more than 2 girls in each show but, in theory it should be those girls that are actually getting jobs off the runway that get to walk the better shows. I mean Chanel wasn't even at DVF out of all places

That use to be the case, but it seems to be the complete opposite today imo. There seems to be little need for black models at all in the fashion world, so when a new face arrives on the scene her modelling career is usually short lived.

She was not at Peter Som, DKNY and DVF....all staples for her...she is bad right now compared to previous seasons....What has Chanel Iman come to?

I am sure she will pick up speed in London, Milan, and Paris. Work Jordan, but lets go Chanel!

Lets be honest here....NY was Chanel Iman's forte, London was almost non-existant to her, Milan was ok, and Paris was ok. If she is not strong in NY, what can we expect from the rest.....Its so dissapointing and in a way sad. I love Jourdan, but I just need my Chanel too come through. Maybe Chanel raised her prices a little too much:lol:....especially since she is the new RL girl and stuff....and Jourdan is cheaper than Chanel....I dunno....im so sad this NYFW...My expectations for Chanel were so high....and now im lucky if I see her at 1 show per day....:o

^ Most shows in NY pay in clothes.

It might be that Chanel is being managed a little more selectively this season. To be fair she hasn't really missed any major shows. The majority of the bigger shows (that she usually does) are yet to take place. It'll be worrying if she doesn't show up at those. She was on a RL exclusive for a day last season...it's a little far fetched but maybe she's reserved to only show up at his show for all we know!.

Jourdan is not cheap at all, I think she's gorgeous anyway me too I'm a bit sad for her. I hope that she's going to do more shows.
I think she will, I mean I hope she will....
