I believe she closed Jason Wu, but what do you guys consider a closer: the last look of the show, or the model who is leading the line (when all the models come out?

That is definitely Chanel. Work Chanel, my GOD. Just when the kids begin to doubt you, you step it up a notch. Thats right Chanel, strut right past Jordan, let her know you FOUGHT to get where you are. Heck, know her off the runway. LOL

Just kidding guys. I do wonder if they have a relationship though, Chanel and Jordan.
 
i always felt like DVF doesn't use well known models in her show.

and i see no metaphor with that pictures with chanel and jordan. it just means that oscar likes them both. all this jordan versus chanel talk is getting silly. just because chanel is not at a show, but jordan is, does not mean we should blame jordan's presence for chanel's absence. they look nothing alike. i would think if designers were trying to "replace" chanel they might use wakeema hollis, because they both have that cutsy look. i hope no designer looks through models and says "which black model do you like better?"

or maybe chanel was not at those shows because she feels she has gotten to a point where she does not have to do every show every hour. yes she'll still do a lot of shows, but she doesn't have to do every single show now.

I don't blame either model for doing anything! It happened to Jaunel, Ajuma, Kinee, Marie Fuema ect. Yes they still do shows but not near as many shows they did when they first started. And as for Wakeema, she's been out around the same time as Chanel and is just now getting booked for a few (not near as many) shows and getting some editorials. The designers usually chooses the younger, newer models that is just a known fact. Most of these designers don't even know half of the faces that are already out. And how could they really? You just don't see has much black models like white and latin models in this fashion world. I would love to see more then one black model walk designer runways but I have yet to see that happen for the majority or even the minority of designers. Like I said before just the usual.

You could be right, but I highly doubt that. And even if that's true shouldn't she be getting more ad/editorial work?

i now realize that this might actually be the case. -_-

i want jordan and wakeema, and all other black and minority models to do well, and be successful. because chanel is one of my favorite models overall i want her to have the best career possible, regardless of her race. i want to see chanel on the cover of vogue, and i want to see her in valentino and dior ads. i want to see her in numero and harper's bazaar. chanel isn't just another black model to me. in my eyes she's one of the best models out there right now. sure, she's not daria w, or natalia v, but one day she might be on their status. :flower::flower:

i just hope people in the industry don't hold her (or any model) back because of her race.

and you are right simplylovely, chanel should be getting more editorial and ad work. but i guess competition is more fierce, because you don't need 30 girls for one editorial or ad. chanel has to really stand out in the eys of designers and editors. i hope they begin to see what we do as fans.
 
i'm glad to see her having fun backstage. its nice to know she's comfortable being herself in front of all the cameras. :p

and she was so pretty at doo ri! :woot:
