Is it odd to say that I think it looks decent there? I don't know, I'm so confused! All that skittle glitter magic was throwing me off but it doesn't look completely awful in that candid picture! Dead at you saying "Chanel and her hair" like it's a separate entity... Which really, it probably did it's own interview at the event.

None of her regular shows have walked yet, only Balenciaga. I'll be worried if she doesn't show up tomorrow. I'm starting to think IMG signed Chanel to get her out of Joans way while collecting those fat VS checks...

Im so so glad....IDK...something shady is definitely going on over there. Watch them leave Chanel with nothing, and then throw her out like yesterdays garbage. Chanel's HF stock was never this low....she always managed to work it out! IMG is def. not doing her any favors!

I hate to be a negative Nancy but I'm starting to wonder after some things I've read, if she's even going to be doing Paris anymore. Her friend who we talked about before in here is talking about calling someone in the morning - it's already morning time in Paris, and before she was complaining about the international call rates so it's safe to assume that she's still in NY.

Maybe she really didn't get booked for anything in Paris, or maybe she's just deciding to sit this one out. It's all speculation, though. I guess we'll see...

EDIT: I don't think she's in Paris the friend definitely just said she's back in America... Unless Chanel went without her?

But the real question at hand is what exactly has IMG done for her since she signed????!! Not even ONE decent campaign?

Well, its understandable for her to cut back on hf work, especially shows. With the added VS workload she would be worn ragged if she tried to match her past showlists. I mean, homegirl just went from Milan to NYC then supposedly to Paris in the span of 3 days. But the real question at hand is what exactly has IMG done for her since she signed????!! Not even ONE decent campaign?

IMG is not getting their cut from the VS contract...the agency that it was arranged through gets it (Supreme)...the former Ford Team.

I don't think the agency is to blame..if there's no demand, they can't do anything about it. I expect her to go all exclusively VS and be very rarely seen in HF from now on (if at all).

I totally agree with you guys. It's like IMG signed her so they could put her on ice while they promoted their "stars" (the girls mentioned upthread). And it's funny because people will always be fascinated by Chanel, she will always get attention from the fashion crowd whether positive or negative. She's perpetually on the most viewed models on TFS (usually the only black model, no other black model has ranked higher than her in recent memory even the ones with more campaigns). And you think her management would capitalize on that, with VS she has shown really has a lot of potential to represent brands well. Long story short, we see you IMG.

I want to see Chanel continue to grow and do all types of modeling but let's be real here, Chanel walked for a lot of high fashion designers in Paris and Milan and that's it. The Paris and Milan houses were not letting her open and close their shows, she did not score campaigns and was not on the cover of the magazines, so while I would like to see it happen, I don't blame her for not trekking to Paris to be the seventeenth model out at Balenciaga.

P.S.
For the record I am not asserting that she did no campaign and editorial work in Europe nor opened / closed shows.

In contrast (IIRC), she had a contract within a year of working for VS, and within two years they were building a product line around her, when it comes to Chanel and her career, VS should not be hated on!
