I gotta agree with everything you're saying. Folks might be mad about her side stepping fashion but she has made some good choices and continues to surprise me every time. I know I've had my doubts at times but am always proven wrong, I just can't wait to see this movie and everything else that comes next.

There were times we (Chanel fans) questioned the move from Ford to IMG when it seemed she wasn't working or she was only doing catalog work. Just when you're about to give up on her, she always comes through.

You guys are slipping! She's been at so many events and her styling for this press tour is flawless. I am on my phone so I can't post but there is this strapless white dress that is heavenly on her. Chanel has really grown into such a beautiful woman.

but check the credentials! She has/is working for the best of the best. It really is amazing to think that next year will mark a decade since Chanel walked her first runway show in NYFW. Since then Chanel has found success in High Fashion, lingerie, and now swim wear!

Now the gerls on here may scoff at that and call it a downfall,Her acting debut in a critically acclaimed Sundance film with studios bidding? The definition of winning.

this entire post! i remember following her at the beginning of her career (i read a profile of her in teen vogue) and she has come such a long way (ESPECIALLY as a black model/model of color).

sure she has had peaks and valleys but any successful person who manages to work for nearly a decade (!) will have those same experiences. like she said in one of her interviews, she was grateful for those learning experiences too.

i was so excited to see her at the essence black women in hollywood event (hopefully someone will post pics ); i really hope she uses dope to open even more opportunities for her in film/tv! go chanel!

Call it a defense or an excuse, but a lot of people complain that the content of these A-List mags are kind of dry anyway, not saying I don't appreciate her in Vogue (which I think the newest shoot is for) or anything like that but... Why not do something outside of the box? It's not like she's hurting at all, she's been doing alright
