Some photos from the article posted earlier. When Chanel became a VS angel, she wasn't getting a lot of HF jobs, and when the contract ended, the attitude rumors were bursting so her agency fully pushed her over to get more commercial work & the occasional cover. And then when she made her runway comeback, she walked Moschino Resort. And was barely seen in one of her looks because she was the second model behind Anna Cleveland. A rebrand is needed for her, because she was (& still is) a star in the making.

Page 8-9, 16-17, 31-32, 46-47 are where they talk about Chanel's behavior. Not many models wanted to hang out with her, and there was suspected beef between her and other models (specifically Sessilee Lopez.)

Or going on vacation 45x a year. Its really sad to see girls from her peer group doing some AMAZING things. While she's just lazy. She needs to change agents/agencies and regroup/rebrand. Her career is done, as far as im concerned. The only girl from the US Vogue cover not doing anything.

I don't think that's exactly fair... I've been following her for 11 years so she's probably been working even longer than that, when you take into account her development years. She's done HF, VS and SI during that time and has accomplished a lot, especially for a black model (who managed to do this despite her 'bad attitude' ).

Having been her fan for so long, I'm always happy to see work from her. But I think she's in a transition phase. She's done the 2 movies, Dope and Mad Families and has said she wants to get into acting so I imagine we'll see more of that from her. It's okay that she's not getting eds/campaigns regularly if she does want to eventually end up in acting. Modeling too much (like that crappy 'Blurred Lines' "model/actress" doesn't look too great if you do want a career with longevity in acting.

We also have to take into account her personal life - she's in a serious relationship now (I think they're going to get engaged and he seems like a nice guy - much nicer than the other critters she's been involved with in the past ).

Even outside of that, the way the fashion industry has gone to hell the past few years, I can see why she just might not want to be bothered. But I don't fault her for taking time for herself and possibly reassessing what she wants to do. She's earned it, imo.

Most of the models on that US Vogue cover are doing less than Chanel does, Chanel is among the most successful. She does occasional shows, she gets contract and campaign work and a cover here or there. She's still a major model, give her a break. I also think if she wants to go into acting she's doing it the right way by starting with small roles. So many models try to leap from cover girl to movie star straight away and fail, Chanel is being smart.

She's flying to Paris! I think the last time she documented that she was there was when she shot for the Beats x MCM commercial but for fashion week? (Assuming that's why she's going) Not since 2010 I think! Excited to see what she'll be up to this week! *fingers crossed everything crossed* she'll walk a show!

Here's my guesses
Mugler tomorrow-- she hasn't walked for them ever but the people who cast their show casted Yeezy season 4 of which she closed. Plus I think that it's her aesthetic too: sexy and glam!
Valentino-- I mean, it's a long shot but she was a runway regular back in the day! A lot of the girls they cast, and a lot of girls look like Chanel she's the OG babyface with the sweet eyes and modelesque figure
Louis Vuitton- she walked three RTW shows and a couple resort shows while Nicholas G was at Balenciaga, it'd be a dream to see her strut for him again. She was always strong when she walked his shows.

For all I know, it could be for a commercial or a shoot but here's to wishful thinking!
