hello everyone! this is my first post here and i'm so happy i'm finally a part of this community.

i think chanel is stunning and has a nice fresh look. hopefully her career will last for a long time. i'm so happy for her teenvogue cover. but i'm a little upset about her missing out on more ad jobs. also did chanel open any shows in milan or paris?

she's in the backstage video on teenvogue.com. i didn't really like it but i figured some of her fans might appreciate it. i could be wrong, but she seemed to take over most of the camera time instead of the letting the other girls talk too.

I actually thought she was really bubbly and sweet in that video. It's not her fault that she actually has a personality and has the confidence to interact and answer the questions she has been asked as fully as possible. It's also not her fault that the video has been edited in way that features her more prominently than the others which indicates that Karlie & Ali didn't have alot to say .... i don't think it's her job to let the others speak up and let them have their air time....

I agree with what your saying....i think this girl is amazing, she has a personality for days and seems very approachables in her interview, but i guess people in this forum think girls without personality are chic. I dont get it.....im anxious to see if she got any US Vogue work for the Feb issue.

Hopefully we can see her at more shows next season, like a Gucci, Chanel, Chloe, Roberto Cavalli I think she suits those brands really well....B)

i have to be honest and say that i really dislike chanel. as a runway model i find nothing commanding about her walk, in editorials she doesn't come across as beautiful to me. and though i don't usually judge models when their off the job, her lack of style and blandness only reinforces my feelings. she's decent but in my opinion, she was highly unworthy of being on the cover of american vogue with the other models.

i would love to see chanel at chanel, chole, and gucci. but i don't think she fits roberto cavalli, maybe in a few years when she gets some sex appeal.

HI....i like your answere because you actually say why you dislike her, not like other people who just HATE her and have no reasoning behind it. I think she does not have to be everyone's cup of tea, but it is overwhelming how many people dislike her. I think she is lovely and there has been no one like her before. I find her more comanding than most girls out there, i find nothing commanding about boring who girls looking exactly the same and having horrible walks... Do not take this personal, Im just putting in my 2 cents in aswell.

Dolce has a SIMILAR aesthetic to Cavalli and I think she suits Dolce well, so she might fit in well.....and if you noticed Cavalli has been trying to seperate itself from that trashy"sexy" image it had....its not as sexy anymore....but eitherway Chanel can fit in with Cavalli IMO

People just hate on Chanel because shes accomplishing alot and gets alot of attention....I <3 her and stand by her 100%, i do believe she needs to develop a little bit more though.

Well, PERSONALLY, i think a lot of the backlash Chanel receives by some is spawned from the fact she is of partial African descent. If she was some boring, BLAND European girl like a LOT of these new faces that pop up on the runway, sure there would be some naysayers, but not nearly as much. There are some of these girls who are ONLY on the runway because of their skin color and weight, let them gain weight and they will be forgotten.

Chanel has FACE, she has a signature, affirmative walk, and she is getting so much better in terms of emoting and posing in her editorials. She does not get what she deserves, but I do respect those who dislike her for valid reasons, I just do not agree with any of them.

i appreciate your response as well. i think a great deal of it has to do with personal taste. we probably just have conflicting tastes in models

I think that Chanel visits her thread over here. I've seen one of my scans on her MySpace page once

Fashion week is only 3 weeks away now. Hopefully she'll show up at the couture shows too. I'm postive that she'll at least do Gaultier and maybe even Dior.

Her Russian Vogue editorial looked really promising from the preview we've seen sometime ago...really looking forward to that as her poses and expression looked really strong there.

Thank you. Chanel was so engaging and forward, i loved her. There was nothing WRONG with her in this video, I do not see where people found her obnoxious. She is YOUTHFUL, LIVELY, she loves life. PLEASE!

They probably asked all the girls the same questions...but obviously the people at Teen Vogue <3d chanel more than the other girls so they edited them out.....Dont blame Chanel that she has more air time, she had nothing to do with it
