Chanel Iman

I agree about the Beverly comparison..........I want to see some new Chanel editorial, honestly this big FASHIONWEEKSTEAL editiorial she shot in London should come out within the next month because magazines are gonna stop showing F/W wear at the end of the year (US Vogue already starts showing S/S in the December issues, non?) So I figured since it was shot in the early stages of fashion week it couldn't have incoperated S/S clothes?

Just a thought ;)

she really wants to be known as a diva huh, is she following the footsteps of a very special diva we all know:innocent:

I think the main problem with her outfit on pg 333, is that when one wears couture, it's supposed to look elegant, untouchable. With her hair down, the leggings, it looks too mainstream, which conflicts with the fragility of the dress. Does that make sense??

diva doesn't looke cute on anybody. :innocent: and i would hate for all those haters to come in here and say "I told you so!"

yes ny1 that does make sense, and I agree. :flower:

I'm put off by antics like that.:yuk: Chanel is just coming off as low class and tacky.

I really do think she made this work for her. You can tell the dress could be worn successfully in a very different way, but honestly, she looks amazing. She looks as though it is tailored for her, which is what personal style is all about. I'm sure it's not everyone's cup of tea, but my hat's off to her for personalizing an outfit that has such an ingrained tradition and expectation that comes along with it. It looks like she was being respectful to the dress, but also wasn't giving in to the hype surrounding the term couture.
