I really do hope if both Chanel and Sessilee don't have separate covers they at least have covers for a high profile magazine like Vogue, W, Bazaar ect. Although, I really hope they have separate covers for separate issues for Vogue, US Vogue if the magazine can ever step up there game. Chanel has earned her right to be on a Cover by herself, and not just on the back of a magazine or a fold out imo.

So, I’m perusing this month’s vogue, and there is this “model’s roundtable” portion of the magazine in which Iman, Lauren Hutton, Karlie Kloss, Caroline Trentini, and some of the other legendary and statement girls are passing around their experiences in the fashion industry, as well as large wealths of wisdom. Anyhow, I came across this piece that I thought would be bring a smile to the face of those who support Chanel and Jourdan.


Karlie: I am getting ready to do eight shows a day. It’s kind of hard for us new girls, I watch runway shows from years ago. You guys had these beautiful poses, and in the minute you had on the runway, you’d make those shapes. These days it’s more like, Don’t even stop in the middle of the runway.

Caroline: It’s 70 looks, one per girl, and don’t be yourself.

Paulina: Just show the dress, don’t be anybody.

Caroline: Even though you want to have the personality and be the whole package, you really don’t have a chance.

Iman: And this is why I have never bought into this idea that yesterday’s models are so much better than today’s models. There are great models out there. The times change, the ideas of walking changes, the idea of showing on a runway changes. But you can see great models on the pages of the magazines. Raquel, Coco, Chanel Iman, and Jourdan Dunn-these girls know how to move in front of a camera. And you know those girls can move on the runway, because nobody can move in a picture like that and not have it in them.

Yes Iman, tell them. :lol: As I have said before, Chanel should have been on that cover, along with Jourdan.
 
My friend told me Chanel is in Boston today at an event but I have no idea what it's for. the line must of been about eight blocks long too. I wonder what that was about.

Couple Alert: Jason Wu and Chanel Iman!

Though it would have been a match made in fashion heaven, the pairing of designer Jason Wu and model Chanel Iman for last night's premiere of Valentino: The Last Emperor (the must-see new documentary on the legendary designer) was, alas, purely platonic. My visiting-intern Colby Jordan and I caught up with the power duo earlier in the day at Jason's studio when Chanel stopped by for a fitting. Mid trying on a show-stopping blue feathered top and embroidered pencil skirt, the model discussed all-important transportation arrangements with her date. Said Jason: "I've ordered a car to take us there, so I can pick you up." To which Chanel delightfully responded: "Oh, I have my own car! Want me to come get you?" The designer accepted, and off they went to paint the town Valentino red...or, in this case, Jason Wu sky blue.
