Chanel J12 Watch

I sure will! Trying to convince my friend to come with me. For some reason he always gives me courage to make purchases I'm not sure of. If he can go for a late night Chanel run sometime this week I'll get my watch! I'm just so confused as to if I should wait that long!

What do you people think of the Chanel J12? I am looking to get a new watch and don't really want to get another Rolex, if I can't find anything else I will though.

I went to Chanel Fine Jewelry tonight and saw the J12 watches:



Does anyone have this watch? Is it durable and does it still look good after everyday use? I really liked it and the SAs assured me of it's quality, but I want an unbiased opinion lol or at least less biased than that! Help! Thanks in advance

I have that watch and I use it every day, and it is still sooo pretty.. I love it so much. you should deffently buy it. Pm me if you have any questions about it

I think I have decided on this one:

I went to the boutique tonight with intentions of buying the plain, because I was informed the one with the diamond markers might not come in for a while...BUT tonight when I went in they had some with diamond markers. They had just sold out of the white but still had the black left. My SA assured me another shipment would come in most likely by this week, perhaps even tomorrow. So I'm on the reserve list and am basically guaranteed one when the shipment touches ground

I was also told of a special J12 that would be available @ the Chanel FJ opening @ Ala Moana. It would look like the plain but with a cabochon amethyst in the pull to change the date/time. That sounds nice too, but I think I'd rather have the diamonds. In any case I'll probably take a look at that one too, but I'm pretty set on the diamonds.

btw, does anyone think it looks better with the numbers? The friend who came with me thought the #s looked better than the diamonds.

I like the #s one better too, that's why I bought the one with #s instead. I don't know, the one with diamond markers is nice but I think the font of the numbers match the style of this watch perfectly. The diamond markers don't even "stand out", you know what I mean?

Yeah I know what you mean, I guess I just like that it has diamonds. To me the diamonds make the face look brighter too Also, my SA said that if anything on the watch is going to hold value its going to be the diamonds. I'm not planning to sell it or anything, but I guess that point is a plus. We'll see though, I am also going to check out the one with the cabochon amethyst pull that will be made available for the new Ala Moana Chanel FJ opening. That one has the regular #s. Damn, I just want my watch already, I hope they call me today!

Just an update Made my final decision tonight. My J12 w/diamond markers came in. Its the size one smaller than the Chronograph and not the smallest. I like larger watches.

The diamonds look better w/the plastic taken off the face, but I forgot to take it off for the pic

Anyhow, I am totally happy with this watch and can't wait to start using it tomorrow~! Thank you everyone for your thoughts and help!

congrats noriko! i think you made a splendid choice i've been debating whether or not to get the one with the numbers/diamonds also. i'll debate a while longer

no, no scratches since the ceramic is supposed to be anti-scratches! And since this watch is water resistant if the band is dirty you can actually wash it!

Good to know My SA assured me that its anti-scratch, but I have to see it for myself lol. I've been going over it with a loupe all day trying to see if there is anything on it yet, and there isn't! I love the shiny finish too and I'd be sooo sad if that changed. Sounds like its here to stay though

CONGRATS ON YOUR BEAUTIFUL WATCH!!!!

I've had mine (plain white 33mm) for almost 2 years now, wear it every day, and STILL not a single scratch. Completely durable, even if you accidentally bang it on smthg (and you will..it's inevitable) But no damage at all. The ceramic is like a tank!

I've just upgraded to the diamond bezel one. Will post pics later!

^^^I was thinking of upgrading to the pink sapphire 38mm. I found some hairline scratches on the bezel of mine and my SA said she could get me another one, do an exchange, or a return. I really love the J12 so I want to stick with it. Please post pics of your diamond bezel one as soon as you can I'm considering that one too, its not too much more than the sapphire bezel J12.
