Not to diverge from the topic of Barbara in this ad, but skin whitening is a big portion of the skincare business in many countries, particularly in the Asian market. Chanel is trying to jump on the bandwagon so to speak with this line of products.

All that said, Barbara is as always incredibly beautiful in this commercial - it is a pity that the ads are for a bleaching product.

Rule of thumb is that people want to be what they're naturally not. For the market that this campaign is aim at this is actually pretty good.
