Chanel Paris-London 2008 : Coco Rocha and Brad Kroenig by Karl Lagerfeld

I think this is definately inspired by Amy, esp. as it's London inspired or what have you. Karl is incredibly influenced by pop culture (which he openly admits) and i think he always has a soft spot for the 'wild child' sort of character (ie Lindsay, Lily Allen, etc. etc.). I think it really fits with the mood of the clothes though. It looks great

I think Karl just really likes the beauty of decadence (as in "The Beautiful Fall"). He works for Chanel, the most famous house of the roaring '20's, he collects millions of dollars of extravagant 18th century furniture...etc, etc. I guess today's celebrities are just an extension of that.

On another note, these are some of the best pictures I've ever seen of Coco. She looks so much prettier when she shuts that perpetually ajar mouth of hers.

she looks great! doesnt seem like karls style though as compared the usual ads but still, gorgeous!

This is the best campaign he's done in recent memory. It's clean, it's graphic and it's all about the details. I love the focus on the jewelry, it's so decadent looking. Keeping that in mind I can look past the Amy Winehouse-esque hair (I like the eyliner, so that can stay.)

The most surprising thing though is how much Coco has grown on me, something I never would've predicted. When you're not distracted by her perpetually ajar mouth (brilliant btw, ilaughead  ) her eyes are very striking.

As for Brad, meowmix said it best.

yes I agree - having a 'gift' whether it be for acting or singing and being offered so much on a platter and partaking of all that and then falling from grace so to speak.

the clothes and jewellery are enough to make these shots amazing. just a black background and they're good to go. i love that.

oh my they're lovely!! coco is amazing...
i kinda imagine the idea of having coco rocha and chanel iman together for the coco chanel campaign, wouldn't they be a cute thing LOL

yes it was wat supermodels.nl talking about.

i think its the 2nd best.(freja ss07 was)the all white one was the best

love love love. these are so chic, and i love the movement in them. and the clothes, of course :woot:

its pretty much the same as the shoot after the previous collection with COCO no theme really...

brad needs to retire or at least they could've photo chopped him more cause he's got soo many lines and wrinkles etc on his face on the 2nd pic

Coco looks a little odd in Chanel but I truely love it!

i think its perfect! coco and chanel :D  one of the most beautiful ads ever!
