Chanel Pre-Fall 2026 New York

Kind of disappointed he used random Bowery station for this… instead of… idk, Moynihan Train Hall, Roosevelt Island tram por Occulus/WTC station.

This might be also a very unpopular take… but the Coney Island terminal would have looked SUPERB as a set if he was going for gritty New York. Missed opportunity.

The two most fashion victim celebrities out there, they're basically clowns getting paid to be dressed in the most ridicolous, unflattering and cringy way. Rihanna in particular, has this scary followings reaching Kpop fan madness.
They would both drop their partnerships with Dior and CHANEL if Shein offered them even a single more penny than what they are currently getting. Mercenaries.

He also praised Viard, so opinion discarded.
He's pretty objective in his reviews and he has his own specific taste. His idea of good CHANEL is very "conventional" and "safe", that's why he liked most of Virginie's offerings. However, he also roasted her when she didn't deliver at all. He hated the "Circus nightmare" SS23 couture collection (did anyone actually like that? LOL)

Good reviews are those of people who don’t like it? Or of people who can articulate their thoughts in an informed and thoughtful way?

I’m not necessarily a fan of his taste to really think of if his opinion matter to me…good or bad.

lmao at this grassroots movement of Chanel clients getting online to express their disdain of bLazy. In all honesty, good for them. It's hard to see read these glowing reviews like Blazy is the next Revolutionary.

Didn't you predict it?

This is beyond cringe. So forced and marketing-driven, it makes you not want to go anywhere near Chanel.

Seriously though these publicity and marketing stunts are so tired in the year 2025. We need something different now. Giving out free clothes to celebrities is just not it anymore.

And the lack of authenticity is painfully clear. As @FashionPower said, these people are mercenaries. They couldn’t care less about the brands they work for and have literally zero loyalty. And yet these fashion executives want us, the consumers, to be loyal to these same brands?Make it make sense!

Every time I see staged photos like ^^ I can’t help but think of that Truman Show meme lmao :

I don't think there is anything this extreme happening with any other brand with these debuts.
No other brand in fashion has the kind of magnitude and has had the same sense of consistency as Chanel.
And as you know, bad opinions are always the ones that are the loudest.

I kind of like how people have turn this thing as « people who likes it are on a payroll » as if there’s some kind of Stan culture like in music over something that the majority of the population cannot own.

But I’m sure, and maybe people will quote me if it don’t happen, that Chanel by Blazy will be a commercial success.

Chanel was a bit on an island by itself since Virginie took over. Now it’s part of the conversation again and people are paying attention.

The reality is that anybody who buys Chanel RTW, even when they don’t purchase, go to to the stores. I can speak from experience.

But it will be very interesting because so far Chanel doesn’t have a permanent collection. There were rumors that Matthieu may introduce one before the debut show but nothing about it.

And his collection will be in stores with the current resort so it will be interesting to see how they are going to display it in stores alongside the seasonal version of their classic pieces.
