Chanel S/S 2023 Paris

Why everything looks so ill-fitting and sloppy? None of this looks exciting or desirable.

Her re-editing of Karl look so sad, she should stop, she won't get Karl's old clients back when they still own the fabulous original versions.
The tweeds look like a non-event when they should be the main attraction.
The
Her dressmaking is still horrible. For the prices that they asked, at least put more effort into it.

I just can't with this woman, she has the best ateliers in the world but her collection qualities just getting worse and worse.

Kristen Stewart was in the latest Cronenberg film (Crimes of the Future) and was beyond great in it, has collaborated with Olives Assayas on two films, was in Kelly Reichardt's Certain Women, she was in plenty of indies and I think she deserves far more respect than she was given in that one reply lol

Those socks are doing favours to absolutely nobody!

By Virginie's standards, this is okay. In the grand scheme of things, it's tepid. It's so safe that it looks like she's afraid of utilising the ateliers she has at her disposal to their fullest potential. And it shows in the developing lack of quality. Was never one for Chanel but could always appreciate the craft. Since that is completely lacking there's absolutely nothing here to continue looking over.

Its actually her best and probably one of the better Paris collections but again, the tailoring is my issue, it is sloppy. Just go to the archives. Another thing, her clothes never have a joie de vivre the way Karl's did even if you were not feeling the collection, his clothes had this vitality about them.

Not as bad as I was expecting. Or maybe I am tired of PFW and all FWs in general giving lackluster collections, except for a few.

styled by Marie Amelie…

interesting.

Really? This doesn't look like her work.

Chanel is doing so well financially, I'm afraid they're going to keep Virginie around for much longer.
She makes Chanel look so dated, stale and almost ordinary. She is just not able to present anything remotely exciting, this collection is no exception.

It's quite repetitive in terms of previous silhouettes and ideas she has explored before, no? In saying that Chanel is so successful under her tenure, they will never get rid of her. They've hit the jackpot with her highly commercial vision...

I like the black tweed pantsuit and the last dress. That’s it!
I’ve completely gave up on Chanel and lost interest in their fashion. It’s all about the fragrances and beauty and for fashion, Vintage.
So what’s left when you can’t enjoy a show from a fashion perspective and from a customer perspective either? Nothing!

She has gained others and people who likes classic tweed pieces. You will never catch me in a black dress with CC logos all over. For that alone, I’m glad that she is not courting Karl’s fans.

the last dress is really irrelevant and unnecessary here, she should cut it

The sweatshirt from the first silhouette is disgusting. It reminds me of clothes sold at the market, from where I come from and which you don't want to buy because seasonal fruits and vegetables that are next door are much more attractive.
Boring clothes and sending the c-category instagramers bags and accessories along with cosmetics by Chanel beauty cause I stopped being interested this fashion house.

This is actually quite nice especially considering her recent frumpy showings. I see some hints of Armani which is still a good thing, Only think am not liking are the looks on the more curvy models, high fashion should just give up they cant dress curve models.

I could not watch that film cutting people and sex
