Chanel S/S 2026 Paris

I have to say that there are some beautiful skirts here and there with amazing texture and a beautiful fall. The satin ones with two layers, the red one, the crochéd ones… they are very beautifully made and very chic.

There’s one satin white dress that’s wonderful.

Also, I like that most of it is very unpretentious. It doesn’t feel try hard, but quite relaxed and fresh. Also loved that there are no casting stunts.

Some bags are quite good too.

There are log of ugly stuff tho. But the collection is much better when you see the close ups. Although I don’t feel it like a collection, there many different ideas mixed together…

I don’t know. I think the bar is so low that this comes across as okeyish.

If I were Marc, I'd be more concerned about the condition of my namesake brand, not Chanel. As for Slimane... this is becoming ridiculous, considering both this post and the failed attempt to stir up drama with Celine (as they've moved on already).

I still don't understand why they didn't just give the position to Hedi. Yeah it's too obvious of a choice but who cares. I like Matthieu Blazy I guess but his personal style doesn't seem super defined. Or I'm just not observant. I can't think of anything beyond the parameters of what he used to work within which didn't let him reign free iirc. Hedi never had his own label but he definitely paved his own way wherever he went with his clear defined style. He whipped Karl into shape literally and figuratively. ... Chanel is a big deal. This job feels too major to have someone testing the waters. ? I just don't see Matthieu standing next to Karl or Hedi legacy wise.

And Marc is too much of a joke now. Nobody wants an ice spice cosplayer as the vanguard of couture.

I'd rather have this than have Hedi turn Chanel into a menswear haven that just happens to serve non-designed womenswear and I imagine that most of the industry feels the same at this point.
Exactly this. Hedi would've been on cruise control the moment he stepped into the Chanel atelier, because at the end of the day he's just a very talented stylist. Frankly more akin to Demna than Karl.

I am.. not enchanted by this. It's certainly not bad, but I've seen too many Chanel collections to pretend he did something special here, from the set to the clothes and accessories. The corny music hasn't won me over either because I don't see Chanel as a symbolic place of warmth and joy, but rather a historical maison founded by a woman who wasn't exactly famous for being the loveliest person; Karl made it fun and pop, but as an intelligent and rather distant person himself he never went all lovey-dovey.
Overall, I'd say Blazy's output for BV was more creative than what we saw tonight and I agree with someone commenting that Jonathan's Dior debut topped it.

this, celine, loewe, bottega are all indistinguishable from one another save for a brand logo or signature design here or there. the shapes and volumes even colours are all the same. sad state of fashion. commericalised, watered down for the masses
This is so true tho…

At least quality here seems on point. For 6K€ one would think this is unquestionable, but then you go to the stores and find garments finished like the ones in Monoprix.
