Chanel S/S 2026 Paris

This influencer is quite popular on Chinese social media and I remember seeing him hosting many Prada trunk shows/VIP sessions in China before. And I'm surprised to see him posting an "organic" post on the new Chanel... and should I say I'm not surprised because this is just another paid job for him, the same as his previous ones with Prada...

nothing organic its strategic to keep the feet between the door for future access and invites and jobs .

just like other post on here of the girl trying on chanel while she was also a prada miu miu invited influencer #try on

last time he was posting chanel was 2024 exhibition

last time he posted gucci ancora

so he has a good track record of brands outside of his organic love for prada :)

The transition of customer acquisition is rather shaky here. Will the former loyal VICs who stood with Chanel since KL's tenures leave forever, or will this "New" crowd of MB fanatics sustain the Brand as avid buyers?

I think that some people are focusing so much on « Karl Karl Karl » when in fact it’s much more a devotion to Chanel.

There are a lot of Chanel 90’s obsessed who didn’t liked the Chanel of the 2000’s or 2010’s. Some people played along. But I think the brand is strong enough.

The cut of the Karl’s clothes in each of his decade at Chanel has insanely been more different. The same for a lot of colors and things like that.

I think for a lot of women who liked a certain aspect of Chanel, the bubblegum 90’s inspired thing, which wasn’t really something that Karl played with anyway but that Virginie brought back, it’s will be difficult.

BUT, Chanel is so big that I don’t think there’s such a definitive answer.

And to put it in much more perspective and to always add a bit of nuances, here is for example an example of a client who happens to create content who happened to not fit the supposed taste of Blazy’s and who also does not fit those body criteria that people like to assume that Chanel clients may or may not have…
She is a Virginie girl.
Here is she commenting on the collection. She wasn’t necessarily over the moon.

Here is she now buying the collection

It tells much about the power of the brand, beyond the perception one may have of it.

People are buying it because it’s new and fresh. I think time will tell if it has a lasting power.

There’s a hype. Of course and even if it’s pushed by the brand, clients are catching it too.
Clearly Chanel has managed to do what Gucci for example hasn’t. This is how debuts are supposed to be marketed.

But the preconceived idea that everything is fake and only an internet mirage is also fake.

A girlfriend of mine went to buy pieces at Rue Cambon and yes there was frenzy Sunday in Paris. There’s curiosity, people who wants to shoot content but a lot of people are buying too.

This is basically it imo. Once the loud voices have quieted down—both the hype and criticism—Chanel will have lost and gained some outliers on either end. The clientele will shift away a bit from the pastel suit ladies demanding a return to Virginie, and towards the fashion girlies, but in most cases the Chanel SAs will succeed at client retention. All they need to do is convince women that there are some desirable aspects to Blazy's Chanel, and the rest will follow. The woman in these videos also posts on PurseForum, and other posters are following her lead there. To quote one: "it was a very expensive visit as I ended up getting the full suit AND the dang Charvet shirt. And I am not a Mathieu fan!"

i love a realist chanel moment :)

And that jacket, I don't understand the hype! It looks like something Stella McCartney or Phoebe Philo designed at Chloe circa 2005. Why is everyone going gaga for it?
Probably rhetorical but by Chanel standards, it’s relatively inexpensive at $6,700 usd. And it’s been worn by a few celebs and getting a lot of editorial attention. Not particularly special or what I would buy from Chanel but I'm also not a customer

Regarding the Chanel mania, it's all kind of relative and anecdotal to who one knows, region etc. I am more interested in the numbers they decide to release after his product has been on the floor for a full cycle.

That said, I don't mind sharing my own which isn't much. My friend that works at Chanel - inside a department store here in the US, to note - said people have been buying but all of the clients want the same things. He was not excited about his store's buy though. For major department stores, my opinion is that... Bloomingdales and Nordstrom have boring buys - more classic. a few fun pieces but limited. Saks, Bergdorf and Neimans have the better runway and fashion/seasonal pieces. He works at one of the former. I also used to work at one of the formers, during the Karl years though.

I haven’t seen the collection irl yet but I’m literally scared by the two tones square? More rectangle toes pumps!
Except hidden under some wide pants, they have no business to be seen on anyone’s feet…
Agreed! Prada from the 90s? The good news is that they are being recalled

review of 2 chanel london stores with the new ss 26 drop:
- walton street launch day no que empty store
- bond street que only first day on friday
- stock available both stores depending on buying
- rtw review trendy or to basic lack of classic forever pieces, but impressed with craftsmanship with more elaborative pieces
- bags and shoes , improved leather quality, some bags liked some shoes liked , others style too bottega like square toes
- did not buy anything yet - did not hate everything - but again most stuff too trendy and linked to other brands that offer same for 1/3 of price for trendy stuff.(prada, bv etc)

recap review

bond street review
-new customers more guys where in london store , more masculine fit and bags more option unisex

Hold up—did someone say improved leather quality? So much for the apocalyptic decline in Chanel's materials, brought on by viscose demon Blazy.
thats her assessment and mentioned in the video as well that it feels as the leathers used feel much softer etc .....& time will tell if it's just this first drop or a continuous thing.

i think it has to do what selection of different leathers that are not over processed and give that plastic and shiny feel of many acc in past.
many brands overprocess leather treatments top layer to keep uniformity and make leather scratch resistant.

but its a detail few know or understand regarding leather treatments and thickness versus technical needs of products to last versus look and feel etc.

I'm just joking around

I look at these content creators and can't help but think this is exactly the sort of fashion they deserve. 😂

I don't think that blonde woman with the dark, 90ies lip liner is opinionated in questions of taste, if that is the client in 2026, Blazy or Jacquemus are befitted to dress them - I'm happy the job did not go to any designer I actually happen to like!

Just saw this Brazilian actress Tais Araujo in a dress from this collection and she looks marvelous

I'm sorry, Tais looks gorgeous, but this dress is hideous! It looks like those fake dresses that fabric warehouses do by draping fabric samples on mannequins using pins. It looks so amateurish! Actually, I've seen more creative and refined examples done by fabric warehouses! That condom tie (LOL) and that random sleeve flap looks like some random piece of toilet tissue got stuck there.
