Supermodel of the World Winners

We are proud to announce the winner and six runners-up for the 2009 Ford Models’ Supermodel of the World search. The winner of the Ford Models’ Supermodel of the World 2009 search is Karlina of Latvia (Baltics). Our runners-up in the following order are Charlene of the Philippines, Isabelle of Sweden, Olivia of the US, Maryna of Belarus, Grace of Australia, and finally Bruna of Brazil. Needless to say after five very full days of photo tests, walking lessons, judging, and of course samba it’s been an exhausting process, but not without rewards. Look for these models in next month in Fashion Week Fall 2010!

I am absolutely delighted!! Chat has the long and lean physique that would make her a darling of the catwalk. The kid's only 16 though so the following months will be very overwhelming so I hope she has a very good support system to keep her focused and grounded. A 2nd place finish doesn't mean squat if she can't channel this privilege and honor into a modelling career because as we all know, not all the winners and runners up of this competition have lived up to its title.

Keep your eyes on the prize, Chat!!

omygosh!! i am sooo excited to see what comes from chat in the new year!!!! she has more "high fashion" features than charo so maybe we ill see some more runway and editorials form her!!!

I expect great things to happen for her in the weeks ahead specifically NY Fashion Week. It all depends how she sells herself when she goes to her go sees....them casting directors are a tough group to read.

Charo is doing great in what she's good at.....she's prolly earning more money than those newbies who walk the runways on a semi-regular business. The catalogue gig pays well otherwise Ford would've dumped her already.
