Charles de Vilmorin Haute Couture F/W 2021.22 Paris | the Fashion Spot

Charles de Vilmorin Haute Couture F/W 2021.22 Paris

This collection could have been designed by a complete amateur with 'avant-garde fashion' in mind. Charles doesn't have skills to produce real couture, let alone having any experience. I'm still stunned that he's a LVMH Prize finalist and it's a major stretch since he had produced only one RTW capsule and one couture collection before getting nominated.

It's due to his family connections that the fashion industry has embraced him so openly. He is the Kaia Gerber of the designers!

Not unlike YSL, De Vilmorin is the scion of a well-to-do French family. His great-aunt was the writer Louise Lévêque de Vilmorin, a man-killer and writer of some renown (penning the famous novella Madame de that became a movie by Max Ophüls) whose conquests included Antoine de Saint-Exupéry and Orson Welles. Through his grand-tante, in fact, De Vilmorin has a connection to Lacroix: The couturier once made illustrations for her magazine pieces.

It is very drag queen friendly I’ll say that
Don't say that! In this world exist Drag Queens that aren't trashy, even if they don't have the means to wear what they rightly would deserve...
PS I m the one who once wrote that I don't like cross dressers in haute couture, because their calves let the heels looking tiring and their male muscles let fragile dentelle looking sweaty. I still like my Performers in scene costumes and I'll keep real couture for real women, but it is a long story....

Disney villain meets rejected costumes from Lady Gaga wardrobe...

Yo pienso que él querría expresar la mujer y ensenar la fuerza que tiene por dentro. Cada vestido representa la tranformacion de una mujer - fuerza, debilidad, sentimientos y etc.

Hey, sorry my fault. I will post my comment in English for the rest of people - "I think that he would want to express the woman and show the strength that she has inside. Each dress represents the transformation of a woman - strength, weakness, feelings and etc."
