I just got a major haul from targets GO clearance online. I bought 4 dresses and some shoes all for just $55 shipped I can't wait for them to arrive.

I swear to god there has been a major haul of Valentino in T.K. Maxx lately. And I mean like £200 sweaters are £700 suits.
This dress from spring/summer 06 was hidden on the prom dress rail reduced from £4,300 (about $8,400) to £145 ($280).

Crying Diamonds - That's crazy! I might have to go to T.J. Maxx. Although... isn't it there different (random) stuff for each individual store?

^ Yep, i'm pretty sure it's completely different in each store. But there's so much Valentino in ours right now.. and because the majority don't have that much money (even if it is reduced by £4,000) and the minority would rather spend their money somewhere else, they just hang there!

It's where they send the clothes that don't sell methinks. If you're prepared to look (and trust me, you need to) you'll find some amazing brands. They usually stand out between the faux fur hoods and poly-blend

This Miu Miu paisley coat from A/W 05-06 was in there once, reduced from like £300 to £60 or something - my friend considered buying it, but to my dismay, didn't.

My local TJ MAXX is a totally different story. You'll most likely find only RL polo shirts as designer items. Does that mean there is an overt difference between TJ and TK MAXX?

^^that's mostly what my local tj maxx carries, but after many attempts i've found some decent buys...

I got a plain v-neck tee by Velvet for $7 and an Ed Hardy hoodie for $30. No Valentino, but decent buys I would say.

I also found an Emilio Pucci purse for $59, though I have to say it wasn't the cutest thing I've ever seen (printed canvas tote with leather handles)...

I prefer Nordstrom Rack or Filene's basement, though, for bargain shopping. Too bad there aren't any here

^One time at TJ Maxx my mom found John Hardy bracelets and earrings for like $30 - $50 each!

I think it really depends on which one you goto. I've seen Vera Wang, Theory, and Pink Tartan at one, all in one trip. But other times... disappointing is almost too light of a word to describe my feelings of TJ Maxx.

Oh man Crying Diamonds...That baby would totally have been mine. What a great deal on a fab item Our Tj Maxx gets a few designer things but they never seem to get marked down very low.

So many items at TJ Maxx are ruined... damaged... I don't know if that's the reason they're there in the first place, or because they get that way from everybody rifling through the items.

I always have to inspect my prospect purchases.

They're having one of their huge sales and I got this beautiful dress on clearance for $26.00 -
