Chloé F/W 2021.22 Paris

Someone should send her book about french tailoring because she doesn't understand what mean flou or tailleur.

I hope Isabel Marant will take advantage from that and snatch the Chloe clientele!

Actually, I feel like the clients who got used to Natacha's modern point of view would move to, let's say, Acne Studios, Courrèges or Isabel Marant, and the hardcore boho girls would move to Ulla Johnson. But let's see, I believe Richemont will reveal the impact of the appointment of Gabriela on sales. Fingers crossed for good numbers, because it seems they've spent a small fortune on all the sponsored reviews.

Missoni x Gabriela. I mean, I'll even take Clare's Chloe at this point. I not sure who is this for. Or maybe it's the lack of time.

She only has 2 months so I gonna cut her some slack, maybe next collection we'll see her full vision for the house. But that vision doesn't looks too promising. She turning the most Parisian house into another New Yorker.

I just wish her talent matches her audacity.
Raf had eight weeks, FOR COUTURE! I can't be the only one who felt great sadness upon seeing this collection. I can only imagine the look on Natacha's face. Such feelings of optimism, class, and promise are now replaced by a stale, matronly vision.

This is trash....Now I will miss Natacha for sure, she is just bad luck because she didn't have a strong leathergoods design team like Phoebe Philo.....

I mean this is Chloe! Everyone of us can do Chloe with closed eyes. The brand vocabulary has been limited for the past 15 years.

It’s not like they don’t have archives...

I guess they choose her because her profile is similar to Stella but in all fairness, this is such a bad fit.

She is for me the female Reed Krakoff...

That's true. Maybe she doesn't want to goes to that easy route. Designing at Chloé may seem easy because everyone have that expectations of the brand images (boho, tailleur, flour), Parisian café society. In a way it's very one dimension, it's easy to design a "cliché" Chloé collection.

I always give designers one year to see if they fit for the house or not, because designed a collection in 2 months during the pandemic can't be easy. I can't believe I defending GH now out of all people.

She had to months to assemble this collection but she certainly had an extensive interview process during which she laid out her vision for Chloé. So in all due respect, it's a bit surprising to me that she would put out a show that looks like it was more of her own collection from just two weeks back.

If there is anything Chloé shouldn't look like, it's heavy and frumpy silhouettes. There is a certain attitude about wearing Chloé that all her predecessors captured but this seems just so heavy and matronly in comparison.

That Gallic flou is the core of Chloe's house codes and here it's completely missing. Yeah, it is easy to do Chloe , just put out a pair of fluid pants, a nice blouse, a nice bag. I don't give Gabriela more than a year, nothing here is appealing. Hannah MacGibbon had the last laugh. Her designs were 10000X better than this garbage.

I wasn’t necessarily the biggest fan of Hannah. It was just too beige even if it was slick and grown up.
I was still upset that they fired Paolo M.A. and 13 years later, I’m still mad they did him so dirty.

I don’t have a particular interest in Chloe but I really do cherish all the clothes and the shoes (from his last collection) that I have from his time.

I just don’t understand the strategy behind having Gabriela. It seems like everytime Chloe is having someone courageous enough to shake-up the formula, it does not last...And this is quite a departure from everything Chloe has always been. From Karl to Natacha, Chloe has been about young women...

This show feels like Gabriela's attempt to do Missoni in New York with a Paris mood board. No luxury and no direction..

cannot fathom that this is by GH and a collection for chloe. it is downright bad. the reissue bags are an abomination as well*

*especially considering GH's bags are highly sought after and generally exceptional.

i never thought i would say this one day (expecially after her 2 last shows), but i really miss Natacha!!
