Chloé F/W 2023.24 Paris

I guess designing the collections in the Fashionary notebooks while sitting on a plane is not enough to actually create an interesting and engaging show. There are some nice pieces, but there are also ones that are offensively bad, the fit of the leather pants from look #13 is an example of exactly that. What's more, I don't think there is any identity and honestly, why should anyone buy Chloé if they can find well-made and reasonably priced pieces elsewhere?

Down jacket poncho is much more horrible than wool poncho....

Whose buying this sh!t seriously? @ Lola can you spill tea on this. I have not been in a Chloe store in ages. My guess is they make all their bread from perfumes.

I really don’t know. I may have been an occasional customer, Chloe is not my type of brand so I’ve never really forged relationships with people at the brand…That being said, their offering has always been consistent. What they are showing on the runway might not be what they are pushing in terms of merchandising, the bags are still consistent (The Marcie has been on their catalogue since the Paolo Melun Andersson days), they might have a faithful clientele…

WWD reported that they have experienced a 60% rise since she took over so from a critical POV, it may be underwhelming but it is commercially viable…Similar to what we are seeing at Dior.

However this direction they took may not work on Gen-Z and Chloe has always been a brand that was able to speak to young women.

I don’t see her leaving soon.

^^^ Supposedly she is difficult to work with and the CEO/design team hates her though.

Fair enough it’s a good reason to not renew her contract. I guess we have to wait for her 3 years to end to see if the growth of sales will secure her position or if despite that, they can’t deal with her…

The Woody tote is selling extremely well....A cheaper replacement of Dior's book tote. Fabric bags is a big trend and not so many brands are following it (Chanel tweed bags don't count lol too expensive)
