Chloe platform shoes 06

I prefer the black, but mainly because of the color of my clothes and I am prone to getting my shoes dirty. :) I think these shoes like very chic and can give an umph to this season's looser-fitting flowy clothes. I just bought this dress from NAP too and so I am dying for the platform pumps to come it...black would definitely look better with this dress IMO. I also have the pewter on pre-order too. But which would be better in that case: black or pewter?

think you will agree she looks neither frumpy or hideous ;) (picture vogue.com)

no, she doesn't look frumpy or hideous, but she looks like she's got no taste in shoes...

i like these a lot, they are adorable:flower:
but they might be too high for some people.

i have a real soft spot for these shoes......

they are soooooo vivienne westwood though...
i remember seeing all these adorable little 'lolita' girls in some japanese streetstyle photos wearing babydoll dresses and viv's wood platforms...

it seems like the rest of the world is seriously behind
in catching up to this style...
but it is still just as cute as ever..:p

i would totally wear them...
but i am too practical to spend that much money on something that i will only wear for a couple of months...
because i KNOW that by sept i will be so done with them...
plus...
it would be weird to be that tall!!!......

lol i hear ya on having a soft spot for these shoes. i am obsessive about these and swear that i've been calling all the stores all the time asking when they are getting them in. some of the SAs recognize me, so it's embarrassing.

as for the height, well, i am height-challenged so the extra 3-4 inches would not be weird for me. :)

gg - have your worn yours yet? are they comfy? how do you plan to wear them? with jeans, cropped pants? dresses/skirts?

It's shoes like these that make me pissed off that im 5 ft, 9 inches tall. I can wear some heels and feel comfortable, but all my friends are a good 5 inches shorter than me! Ooooh welllll....being tall is good for other things : )

I've worn them once, they're not uncomfertable for the height. I wore them with cropped jeans although I think they're look best with skirts or dresses. I think they may also be cute with the strap tied over skinny jeans.

shopping, I would definitely get the black over pewter, as black is simply classic!!

I really fancy this pair of platforms too..but I wonder about its longevity...would I still be able to wear it for next year?

:flower: Got the call today to say they are finally in at Matches London. They did not receive the white, so I have ordered the black and should have them Wednesday. Really looking forward to receiving them :woot:

I love these shoes, but what do you guys think about wearing them beyond this season? Westwood shoes are classic -- do you think these Chloes will have that timelessness?

And... t-strap or the pump? I love both!

I never really get the wearing beyond this season thing. I buy em cause I love em, and know I will wear them again if I want to, nobody is going to tell me that I cannot wear them because they are last season, and hopefully you are not the type that would care either :) I prefer the wedge, but that is because I always wear a heel, and I think this clumpy heel makes the shoe, but if you wear pumps more, them may be more practical for you

You're absolutely convincing me to get a pair... but which one? So difficult.

ah, but beaumonde, its a nice dilemma to have ;)

If you are good at walking in heels, I would say order these first, as these are going to sell out much quicker than the flats. If you order them and then decide they are too high or not right for you, it is going to be much easier to swop them then for the flats rather than the other way round :)

I have the Mary Jane ones too and I thought they came up slightly big - I have to wear them with an insole

Chloe-Babe

did you mean they have the ankle tie ones in Matches? what branch, Ledbury Road?

The flats are cute, but I wouldn't get them for the price. I think the heels are definatly worth it though . I also love the t strap ones and had the same dilema, but I personally think the ankle tie ones are nicer.

If your deciding on the color -- I wouldn't get beige unless you have dark skin, otherwise it blends in too much with your feet and looks odd. I got the black but am kind of wishing I got the white ones.

The only thing I would be worried about with the ankle tie wedges is that I find the heel a bit on the heavy side (maybe im not used to them yet) and im not sure if the ankle tie would support your foot too well...
