Oh, goddddd, please don't tell me APPLE is a good name??!! Ew, its so yuppie of them to try to make their kid "unique." Yeah, Bidet would be a cute name for a girl but I hope to God no one will EVER use it!

I think it's just stupid to make fun of people trying to make their child unique by giving them an unusual name. I think it's so small minded to criticize something like that- when this child has yet to even remotely develop their personality and it's parents are so happy and overjoyed with the experience.............it just happens that they are public figures- so the details about their child (name included) can be completely criticized by everybody.It's lame to ridicule things like that. Just my opinion.

I don’t like the name but don’t see the need to ridicule.... my mere opinion is that when couples try their hardest to be different like this it comes out looking stale.... all of Hollywood does it so it is not different, the names are but the trend is lame and repetitive. I also think no matter what class, fame, etc you are kids don’t care and will make fun of her name and at some point she will ask mommy or daddy why did you name me a fruit? I love unique names but silly names like fruits, cities, states, adjectives, nouns etc don’t appeal to me and I think Apple is silly…but I love Blythe Alison Martin!

She is a beautiful healthy baby though with happy adoring parents and that is what really matters!

I agree. Apple is silly. I'm sorry. I know I shouldn't make fun of a name. But come on. Apple? It would be cute as a nickname. What is she going to name her son Orange? It's just silly. Though I really like Blythe Allison Martin.

Apparently she's all set to play Marlene Dietrich after Uma Thurman's original failed attempt in 1995. I can't really see her in the role (too clean-cut), but what does everyone else think?

Cute baby !! cute name !!! but the only problem, imagine when she is older and she is getting told off BAD APPLE !!!! or if she falls over she'll be bruised Apple. I think if she was a normal child then she might get skitted at at school, but when you consider who her parents are i think she is on safe ground dont you ??
