I had never heard of Alice before, so went and did a bit of research. Her regular work looks good. Sensitive. Tasteful. What is apparent here is they have booked her and removed any sense of "her work" from the final image. She is merely a button presser. The light, the composition, the final product; none of these echo her sensibilities but hose of the AD Fabien Baron. I feel bad for her because a Dior campaign is one the the campaigns to shoot but her chance appears to have been squashed by those higher up. You could argue, as Helmut Newton did, that she is a gun for hire. Just seems like they gave her the wrong kind of ammunition.
