Christian Dior S/S 2014 : Edie C, Elise C, Julia N, Stella T by Willy Vanderperre

IMO, Julia's shots are the weakest ones. She doesn't look like herself.

I absolutely LOVE Stella's B&W shot, it's so strong and dramatic. I think Edie's are OK nothing spectacular, I prefer the one in color. Elise looks vert pretty in both shots. I don't like Julia's, I'll have to see the whole thing in print to make up my mind

Thank god for Elise. She's saved this. Edie's shots are awful of course same expression she always has for every ad. lol

I actually like Edie's B&W shot the most. Julia looks like Cate Blanchett's younger sister in her B&W shot.

i thought her b&w shot was the best of the whole campaign.

anyway, who looks the best in which shot may be a question of particular taste, but as a whole, i think dior would deserve something better than this. it's overairbrushed, too sterile and not flattering... :ermm:

Edie's and Elise's close ups are both stunning

I actually like the shots when they're combined, much better than the initial blue background shots.
I might be in the minority but i've absolutely loved every single Dior campaign under Raf so far.

The casting is fantastic and the shots are beautiful. I really love the juxtaposition of the dark portraits and light runway shots. This is a great campaign concept.

But the clothes are hideous. :yuk:

The blue sky background just doesn't appeal to me at all. I think if the setting incorporated flowers just like the runway did then I would've been head over heels for this. I do love the juxtaposition of having dark portraits side by side with the colored images. The images themselves are gorgeous. Julia's and Stella's portraits are my favorite of the bunch.

Julia's and Stella's definitely stand out to me as the best portraits, though I kind of dislike the makeup, wish they had stuck with the gold eyebrows/eyeshadow from the show.

Elise is definitely the star, in my opinion.
So incredibly poised, so elegant, so assured, so real. I just adore everything she does.

there are some labels, i'll use calvin klein as an example, that have super minimal collections and then the ads look amazing- great lighting, strong model casting, it almost makes the clothes look better.

yeah....that has not been happening with these dior collections. willy vanderperre is a great photographer and the models are strong castings too- don't know why this is so damn boring to me. don't like this, at all.
