Sometimes you can just tell by the price..like if they are stated as new and the price looks too good to be true.. it usually is..

Correct; when I saw his exhibit at F.I.T. last spring, he said he was creating the shoe but saw something missing from the design. His assistant was painting her nails with a red Chanel color, so he took it and put it on the shoe.
Gotta love him.

^^Yup, iLoveCouture is right. People tend to freak out about the stamps on the inner and outer sole, but it's really about the overall shape. Stamps can vary quite a bit on authentic CLs. I have a few of the styles that are highly faked, which helped me to be familiar with the lines.

I haven't studied CL's that much I mean I'm not buying fakes anyway But I guess you should know your shoe!!!

mhh i dont know, i guess beign familiar with the original designs you can tell if a shoe is fake. i mean in this case, the platform from the side is totally off, too chunky i guess, and the heel aswell is thicker than the actual one. it's more abou the shapes and lines of the shoes - take the pigalles, for example, the fake ones i've seen had really awkward toeboxes..
