Becoming an international model sensation is no easy feat, but this week’s up & comer, Xiang “Cici” Yejing, is attempting to do just that. She made her catwalk debut this September and walked in an unprecedented 20 shows in New York, London, Italy, and Paris. Not only is she up & coming, but her star is bright and blazing!

While China serves as one of the world’s most powerful leaders, it wasn’t until recently that Chinese models began spotlighting in the fashion world. Heavy-hitters such as Liu Wen, Fei Fei Sun, and Ming Xi, are all among the Top 50 Models in the world, but they only started gaining global attention a few years ago.

Xiang (pronounced She-ahn-g), better known as Cici, hails from China and is a local celebrity around the Asian fashion circuit. Her demure yet secretly powerful demeanor all adds to the stirring pot of her allure, and at 18 years old she has plenty of time to serve what she’s cooking.

She has posed for countless editorials around Asia but hasn’t yet broken American or European ground yet in print. However, she has already walked for beloved houses such as Marc Jacobs, Jil Sander, and Louis Vuitton, among others so it’s only a matter of time for the young model.

With the multicultural focus in fashion being widened (finally), be prepared to see Cici Yejing and other Asian models make their mark in the upcoming seasons. We can’t wait to see where her career goes next!
