Oh she's so cute in that video. That's the first time I've heard her speak, I can actually kind of hear a bit of a German accent in her voice. It's always weird when I hear Portuguese spoken(she was speaking Portuguese right?) because it reminds me of Russian for some reason.

i don't get why people say that (portuguese sounding like russian).

i don't hear it. of course, it could just be i'm partial to portuguese, as i find it to be the most pleasant sounding language (both european and brazilian).

Yeah I think that Portugese sounds a bit like Russian too - like German sounds like Dutch!

I agree. My mom is Russian and listening to that clip, I can see why people would think the accents sound alike.
