Thanks so much, Tiffany, for the information!
I don't think I can refuse you anything. I'll just go for a walk and then I'll start getting busy.1karina1 said:Thanks everyone for your karmas!![]()
It would be wonderful to have a rough translation of the interview from French Elle...Hint, hint![]()

And I never noticed Clemence!
I didn't think wow, she's beautiful or wow, she can act. Granted it is a Harry Potter film there's not much chance of displaying talent
but I find it odd that she didn't seem to have screen presence
Am I the only one who thinks that?Don't you mean French Elle?Ms.Padalecki_91 said:Does french vogue only come weekly or does it come monthly??
Harumi said:^she had four lines in the movie, most of them in French and about 6 min screen time. Her character, Fleur, is very dull in the books too so I wouldn't judge her by that.
All these promotion pics from the film makes her look more prominent than she was i guess...

Intro:
Clemence is the girl of the moment: she has a pretty name, a pretty face and a good allure that makes her a designer favorite.
At 24, she has starred in Harry Potter, Le Grand Meaulnes, Les Amants de Flore with Anna Mouglalis, the adaptation of a Marie Desplechin novel, War and Peace (she plays Natasha), Le Gang des Postiches with Vincent Elbaz and she is now filming with Collin Farrell and Ralph Fiennes.
Among her favorite designers: Balenciaga, Chanel and Chloé.
She admits a fashion house has already tried to put her under contract (Harumi says: my guess is Chanel), but she turned down for fear of being branded as just another fashionable actress.
About photography:
Clemence says her father was a theatre actor and her mom a French teacher so books were very important. She discovered fashion though photography (Juerguen Teller, Paolo Roversi, and Peter Lindbergh). She once worked with stylist Pedro William Borquez but when he made her sew a wedding dress, she understood she couldn’t work in the fashion business.
About movie costumes:
Clemence says that costumes are vital for the preparation of a movie. She works really hard for her roles, making sketches of the scenario and compiling music. She keeps an item from each movie, which she wears in real-life.
About couture:
She first wore couture for the Harry Potter premiere in London. She first asked Martine Sitbon for vintage gowns then went to Balenciaga.
She likes Chanel for the poetry and freshness.
She likes Chloé for the grown-up romantic spirit, the English spirit and the fact that it’s loose fitting.
She likes to keep her freedom, mix and make clothes her own but fashion is just a game for her, not a lifestyle.
Her mantra could be: “I can go to the shows but I don’t have to stay for the party”
About values:
From her mom she got a sense of simplicity, distaste for excessive adornments and make-up.
As a teen she used to cut out her clothes but now she respects them. She likes quality clothes that will age well, which is why she doesn’t shop at H&M and Co.
She admires A.P.C. and Isabel Maran, even through she realises their stuff is not accessible to most women.
She tries to keep a sense of reality and when she buys something really expensive, she tells herself: “My daughter will wear it”.
About the 60s:
She loves 60s icons Marianne Faithful, Jane Birkin and Nico and today Charlotte Gainsbourg and Kate Moss.
She loves them because they don’t have a stylist but wear clothes that reflect their live and personality.
She describes her personal style as in folk-rock: big scarves, big pulls, men shirts, boots, hats, loose hair, no make-up, grey, maroon, beige, blue and few jewels.
I know what you mean, I think it was just a (negative) flukeAm I the only one who thinks that?
