Coach 65th Anniversary (Legacy) Bags/Accessories

ahhhhhhhh...i can see it now....coach the fragrance...."wow, this smells...it smells like....dooney and bourke leather!"
They've been talking about the fragrance for a while. The only thing that interests me is the possible packaging (a leatherwrapped bottle w/ enameled top would be gorgeous) but the fragrance itself will no-doubt be a generic "pop" fragrance, Im expecting something along the lines of Burberry Touch or Weekend...Wannabe sophisticate.

Thier earrrings are super-cute though, I got my sister a pair of the red enameled hoops w/ my friends discount (Im not paying full-price). And Im tempted to get 3 more bags, oh damn...

I've seen the Ali bag, and i think it's a great bag...

I got my legacy scarf.. it's fun to tie it to my different bags.

It's $498. I bought it yesterday. I just couldn't resist. The strap seems to be the perfect width for me because it doesn't keep sliding off my shoulder all time, which is a problem for me with some of the other bags I have... The interior is nice and roomy and the closure flap is big enough to make opening with one hand perfectly easy. I do really love it and I'm just breaking it in a bit so the leather will develop that nice patina and soften up a bit (it is pleasantly slouchy already though). XOXOXO

Congratulations on your purchase Umm Zain. It is a beautiful bag.

I was a steady Coach customer through college and in my early career days, but I quit carrying Coach bags a few years ago. I didn't like the trendiness of their designs, I didn't like the fabric, and I didn't like having the logo splashed all over the bag. So I have been carrying Chloe, Jil Sander, Bottega Veneta, Chanel, and for fun Pucci or Miu Miu. But now it is almost impossible to find a good, basic bag for work without a grommet, a tassle or a stud, and the prices are astronomical! I make a six figure income, and I am not afraid to spend money on purses, but this year there have been very few original or interesting designs (imo), and I feel like I am being ripped off!

Yesterday at work I noticed a woman carrying a quietly elegant black leather purse. I did a double-take because it was a Coach. I checked out the Coach website and found that it was a legacy leather bag. I may visit the local Coach store today. If they go back to their roots I may become a customer again.

i was a bit the same way. i started buying coach when i was in college, had that limited edition coach ocean bag and bought a top handle bag. but then they started going downhill and putting CC's on everything and they lost my interest and business. i moved on to MJ and LV and now that im a deeply obsessed MJ girl, i feel like i need to branch out a wee bit. i got rid of my top handle bag.....but now i started thinking about it again, and since i am almost done with college, i've been able to downsize a bit from huge oversized bags, to better 'normal' sized ones.....im starting a list for next year.....and one of those whiskey legacy bags and that top handle i had a few years ago are on it!

So, I wanted to give an update on what exactly I think about "Ali" since I've been using it for a while; I love the bag! I feel like its worth every penny and the step down from "high-end" brand status. I think even the most hard core luxury handbag lover would be able to appreciate all the positive attributes of this bag if they could just get over the brand name thing and give it a chance. Honestly, I haven't been this happy with my luxury bags in a long time... XOXOXOXOXO

You are SO right!
XOXOXOXOXO

That "Ali" bag is lovely - the shape, strap and lining all have such a nice vintage feel.

^^ Wow... very Bonnie Cashin! Love that they're bringing back her styling

I love the Legacy Heidi and Legacy Shoulder Bag; they are made of awesome leather and have a very classic and clean look

Why can't all Coach be like this instead of that monogram nonsense?

I don't know why it's happened but suddenly, I find myself liking Coach bags again. Not the monogrammed ones but the classic plain leather and brass variety. I bought a few vintage bags on Ebay recently and am very satisfied with the quality of the leather and the simply styling.

^I've been into getting the vintage ones as well. They are suiting my style lately.
