Coach Chevron-striped bag

Hello! Just wanted to share if any of you were interested... I got this bag this weekend at the Outlet. Was in love with it when it originally came out at a 'limited edt' but then couldn't find it anywhere. I haven't wanted a Coach bag in the longest time, but this I'm excited about! It's kinda disco-y and will be great for the summer with jeans and such.

I'm not selling this item (sorry for the Ebay link, lmk if they're not allowed) but it's the only pic i could find. Once it's all broken in and slouchy, it'll be great. Love how the bottom is darker so it won't show dirt as quickly.

Velvet, I have that bag! I couldn't buy it when it first came out, but found it on ebay later (not to worry, I was very careful to authenticate, this was a bag that did get faked).

I think it is a cool bag; your thread has made me want to wear it again!

then i heard it was at the outlets and got excited...
i'm hoping the price will go down a TAD more....but i'm sure they'll all be gone before they reach the 'extra 20% off' section...

Sold out in stores. They have it in the outlets? Huh, wierd. Anyways, they probably won't be there very long, very hot.

yeah, i thought it was odd, too. i really didn't expect them to show up there.. though i had hoped it would happpen. (even though i don't really wanna pay $369 for it.....what was the original retail, anyone know? ) .. my sister found another 'limited' bag a while ago in the outlets that the SA kept telling her 'don't wait on it!! it won't be here for long!'.. but she waited and then found it 1/2 off at the outlet....
but they were definately there.. my sister was funny. she was like 'there wasn't a hobo...but one that went straight across...' not realising that the bag was one in the same.. it was just made to be slouched in all the pics she saw of it....

I think the retail was probably 498 perhaps more, the limited early spring shoulder bags are more expensive.

In addition, most associates are never told if a bag would be sent to factory, until perhaps the day it is sent. I know because Im always on top of it, in addition, the first Factory bags are IR (which means irregular) so if you see it immediately in a factory store it's probably IR, but those are probably not since they were out Fall 03.

nice bag! i had the ocean duffle, but it was a little too fragile for my liking and so i sold it on ebay....it came out about the same time

I thought it was odd too, that it has made a 2nd appearance at the outlets- is this a new selling strategy? Get that sold-out buzz and then do a second run? Coach (esp. with the monogram fabric) has really been pumping out a quantity of styles vs. a quality of styles.

My 1st Coach was in the 80's.. the stores had such a rarefied air- so classic, and any new style was really of note. Not so anymore.

The outlets also have a version with pink and silver stripes, that was never at retail. The pinks go from hot pink to pale pink, then white. I'm not so much of a pink girl.

I had asked/was hoping this bag would be marked down more, but didn't want to take the chance. If i can hold off using it (and say it does get marked down) Coach outlets have a great return policy, so i could possibly buy another one at discount and return the full-priced one I got. IF i can hold off using it.... the leather/suede is really thick and lovely. The only reason to get Coach, IMHO.

Rule #1 of handbag purchasing - buy it because you love it. Not because it is "hot" or "limited edition" or whatever.

Then you will never regret your purchases.

I bought this bag at nearly full price, and I don't regret it, because I've carried it and enjoyed it and it is a beautiful bag.

last week, i went to the outlet, they had the bag with a redline price ($199) + another 20% off
of course i grabbed it. i also grabbed the matching wristlet. both cost me $220



i'm so excited, i love it. of course, i got to use it for like 3 days and then the rain started.... lol
