Coach making bags for Express - fact or fiction?

I'm on another board where we discuss handbags 24x7, and someone on there that works at Express said that she was told by her management that Coach makes Express bags now. Has anyone heard anything about this? She said she didn't know of any press release yet, so I don't know where to even begin trying to hunt down whether or not this is fact or fiction.

The first thing that popped into my mind is the Seven7 vs 7 for all mankind jeans fiasco/lawsuit.

ehhh.. I dunno... I think this is just rumor... coach considers themself high end.. why would they sell in a regular old retail store? Plus.. the head designer of coach had a seminar with us.. she never mentioned branching off like this...

Who knows.

Coach is trying VERY hard to become a real high-end brand, I don't see why they would cheapen themselves by sellling in a store like Express.

I hope not... Coach is great quality for the price, but not exactly high end.

ie: did you know that Loro Piana produces the cashmere line for JCREW????

I didn't say they WERE high end, I said they were trying desperately to be thought of as high end.

I don't know why everyone is ragging on Coach. Like TheSoCalledPrep said I think they are great quality/shape for the price. I think DKNY is cheaper than coach in terms of looks. And even the Donna Karan line, it's 1,000 but all the ruching? blech. I would rather have a coach bag.
