Hate to break it to ya:

As some of you may know, I do enjoy browsing The Fashionspot from time to time. Fashionspot is an online community that covers designers, photographers, models, fashion careers, and trend spotting. Often they will get a hold of a campaign or editorial I did, even before I do! I also appreciate reading the members criticism of my work, whether positive or negative. However, I do not comment on any of their forums. I never have and I most likely never will. Personally I feel like doing so would be like an actor giving his own movie "two thumbs up". I hope this clears up any confusion there may have been this week when someone on there pretended to be me. Sorry people, not me.

Its amazing how many fake profile there are out there on facebook, myspace, twitter... the list goes on. People pretending to be someone else - whether its a complete stranger or even just a fictional, over-embellished version of themselves. I know there are a few imitation "Coco's" lurking out there. I remember I once added one just for fun on facebook and incredulously she (or he??) angrily wrote back "WHO IS THIS!?!?". On another occasion I remember telling another model that I had added her on facebook only to have her tell me that she never even had an account!! Then she told me that she added me on myspace, which I don't have a profile on!!!

So bizzare. I always wondered why people want to trick others into thinking they are someone they really are not. Be proud of yourself, who you really are, and let people love you for the good qualities you yourself possess.

it sucks someone needs to pretend I have a feeling that she might be fake because she didn't receive any referral and it's hard to imagine sinceshe works in the fashion industry

and! she commented on my profile with a wrong grammar "No it didn't hurt because i'm dancing since i am a child " hello? Canadians are good at spelling someone should kick this goof pretending to be Coco and tanii94 thanks for posting that and to the real Coco, thanks for clearing it up

Thank you everyone for assisting and thanks to the quick thinking person who notified Coco.

One of our Mods was already on it as Coco was writing this, and had been handled. Glad that Coco has confirmed what we already knew .... that we had an imposter here.

This person has done this before (Daria) and will proably try to sneak in and try it again. Don't beleive what you read in forums .... if it sounds too good to be true .... it probably is.

I am pleased that Coco is a viewer here (although not a member) ... we appreciate her interest.

She's just such a darling for clearing this up promptly. I'm sure girlfriend got other, much more important stuff to do, I'm sorry that people waste her time like this.
But as always she stayed the classy Coco we know and that's why she'll always be my favourite.

I think people like that impostor should really get a life and stop pretending to be someone else.

It is very embarrassing for a person to act as an imposter and then get caught by the whole (forum) community.
Coco is kind enough to explain the whole thing. That is very kind of her. And, that is why we will always love her.
