THE FACE

I am thrilled to be able to reveal that Karolina Kurkova and I are joining Naomi Campbell as the other two model coaches on Oxygen’s highly anticipated new show “The Face”. As the youngest mentor of the three, I have looked up to Naomi and Karolina my entire career and am ecstatic to be able to work side by side with them on this amazing new project. We, as coaches, will scout and choose our teams from aspiring young models nationwide before guiding them through assignments, which include photo shoots, runway shows and commercials for some of America’s best known brands. As mentors to the girls we hope to impart valuable lessons and skills that will help them through their challenges, giving them an accurate idea of what it takes to have a career as a model and be the face of a brand. Naomi, Karolina and I will be introducing the girls to some of the very best photographers, stylists and designers in the fashion world. In the end, one girl will be chosen to become ‘The Face’ of a well-known brand, earning a real contract as the brand ambassador.

I disagree with everyone. This is going to take her to the next level and keep her relevant. I mean look at who her co-hosts are! As much as I'd love to see her go back to the runway, I'd rather see her become insanely wealthy and famous. Also, this is where she's been trying to lead her career and if i'm not mistaken its what she wanted from the start. This is such a good look for her career!!! I'm sure Meisel will still shoot with her because she will always be one of his muses. She is headed for the big leagues whether this project works out or not. Trust.

^I just want to see more high fashion work from her cause I love her SO much as a model; she's my absolute favourite and the reason I want to pursue photography. And I kinda miss her. Of course, I can't wait to see her on The Face, though.

I could be wrong but I think that if this show becomes a hit and gets her name out there then she will get some major work. Celebs get better covers and campaigns than models. I would agree with you guys if she were a less successful model but she's had a phenomenal career and continues to get great work. This could be the perfect storm to take her to supermodeldom. That works with singers but not with models
Its ok for Karoline since she has nothing to lose but lets be honest its not the same thing with Coco

To me Coco is already an icon and a supermodel. I just think she should make a serious comeback in high fashion.

Totally agree, this is the logical for high fashion models: to reach the next level a.k.a celebrity status and enjoy like their 90's precursors the same level of fame and public appeal and remain relevant at the same time to the industry; I mean there's only so much a model like Coco can do in the fashion biz now: she's done every major runways, campaigns, magazines' covers, became a muse to designers, launched her line of jewelry, clothes and is a voice already in fashion with her blog. + let's not forget that the public knows her and she became a l'Oreal spoke model = she's done it all, now she goes up to Heidi-Tyra-Gisele-Kate and Naomi's level: to become a supermodel/media celebrity.

First off, Coco's high fashion career so far is much more succesful than what Heidi and Tyra have done as models. Let's not forget that.

Like I said before, Coco is already considered an icon and a supermodel. Now obviously she hasn't been working as much as she used to lately but that doesn't mean that she's less of an icon. Her career is enviable and so succesful. I'm sure we'll see more of her as a model and I love her no matter what.

(Let's not forget the shoots she did in Mexico and Spain over the past months. Excited to see what they are! )

For the people disagreeing that coco will get famous for her new stunt are dead wrong, you have no idea how much media attention they will gain from this, and if Coco is not on a solo cover herself then she will surely be on a cover side by side with Karolina and Naomi....

Coco was destined to go mainstream like this....her acting and enthusiasm in front of the camera alone is enough to prove otherwise....I look forward to seeing her name on a forbes richest models list someday
