Coco Rocha

NICOLE FARHI

Hope not repost

& sorry about the horrible scans, doesn't usually happen.

Excuse my language, but Coco is one of those rare models who can wear dark lipstick and not look like a wh*re. Dark lipstick on Coco makes her look like a painting or an artistic creation which is absolutely perfect for her in these pictures.

Coco is on the cover of the newest Numero Tokyo! :buzz: I love her pose.

Canada's hottest model may sport this year's must-have lips, but can she match Cindy Crawford's new cottage?

Shinan Govani , National Post

There's a seismic shift occurring in the world of lips, and a Canadian model -- wouldn't you know it? -- lies at its epicentre.
Trout mouths are considered ordinaire. Self-actualizing thin lips? Just all the rage. From my lips to yours, I tell you this: The era of the inflatable, dinghy-looking pucker is waning, waning, waned.
So says the beau monde's long-time shaper-smoother, Dr. Pat Wexler, in an article that's become the fashion set's must-read of the summer. The Manhattan sage-dermatologist -- see: "Wizard of Injectables" -- tells New York mag that "not everyone is meant to have a lip."

While Canadian model Coco Rocha has been singled out in the pages of New York magazine for her to-die-for thin lips, Cindy Crawford has bought a house in the Muskokas, north of Toronto. Coincidence? Impossible!

Yes, that's right. "You can't bring a picture of a lip to a doctor" -- see: Angelina Jolie-- "and say, 'That's the lip I want,' " she goes on. "And yet women do it all the time."
In the article I just got around to reading -- it's called "The New New Face" -- Wexler actually credits a beauty from British Columbia, Coco Rocha, for helping the thinner-lipped to accept their biologically determined fates.
"God bless Coco!" exclaims the doctor, giving credit where model-of-the-moment credit is due.
Wexler merrily continues: "Small lips are totally in vogue right now. It's very acceptable. There are very famous actresses who are totally happy to keep their lips thin."
Know what to look for at next week's star emporium known as the Toronto International Film Festival? Good. One thing's for sure, though: The almost-20-year-old Coco really is everywhere, showing up on covers here and there, doing campaigns for the likes of YSL, palling with Michael Kors, getting both copy and pic in Vogue. Even since she was here in March during Fashion Week -- when she gave me lip service backstage -- the Elite stunner has gone up several notches on the celebrity pole.
In other model news -- somewhat seasoned, original super-mannequin news -- I have it on good authority that Cindy Crawford and her husband, Rande Gerber, have become proper Muskoka-ites. The brand-expanding model and her bar-owning, George Clooney-friending husband purchased a house recently in the "Hamptons of Canada." On Muskoka's Lake Joe, is the word.
