Comme Des Garcons - Guerrilla Stores

You are welcome, Baizilla:-)

Don't you like Glasgow GB? I think it looks great. It's almost VN, the red scooter:-))

In Warsaw there are not much of the older collections. I think three year ago is the furthest. The G1 had more old stocks I think.

Comme Des Garcon: Glasgow Guerilla Store

Ok! Who wants to see pics of the store?

It was concrete floor; glazed and had old furniture pieces put in, and a hand painted vintage Bentley (?) I know nothing about cars; and the studio space upstairs was a mind-blow! amazing... We have tones here in Toronto, but not as fun as the one at the warehouse

^^ yeah, i dont know why!when i first heard the concept of Glasgow GS as i was very touched, but when i saw the photos i didnt felt the energy that i felt with last stores ex. Warsaw ,HK or Basel! strange........

one of those must-go-see environments. pictures don't do anything for this particular space. its sparseness is part of the experience; very static and indifferent. check it out.

btw. I was in Glasgow for 3 weeks, I love it and miss it to death!

The Berlin re-oppening was just nice...what a place! something absolutely
different until now...i think you will love it...i like it a lot! where somebody there?

if you are going, don´t forget to knock the door...there are some poeple
inside!

^ lol...people are inside?it is really sweet i must say..why dont you gives us some more info about what it wss before and how it was the space! did you take any photos?

Yes gb, someof them, but i could not put them on the net...:(
anyway, the place is really private kind of, i think it was a garage or a kind of storage...i am not sure.
You walk in the street and you never notice there is the new gs, you cross the first courtyard wich is quite very "east" berlin old style and you don´t see nothing, just flat windows!, you cross until the second one and there on the left side, you find an small "house" if you can say that, but is more like a two small floors garage with a big wood door...and you knock... inside you will find a big surprices!...i just can say is very nice....i will try to hang the photos...

ah! the outside and the interior design are quite crude...but when u are inside...it takes other scale...like in a very small house, with white windows and plats outside...i think is a very nice gs! i just hear they where working until the oppening to have the place ready...is absolutely berlin:wink:

Thanks for the report dets_b. So it looks abs. Berlin as I remember:-), going thru countless courtyard :-)

^

i like Basel! does somebody has an aidea about where will be open the next gs?

even if they close in one year they will make a fortune. it seems like a pretty good strategy to me.

Just went to the Hong Kong GS today. Really out of the way in an industrial building in Chai Wan, about 10 MTR stations from the city centre and from the station,it takes about 20mins walk to reach there.

The store is at the same spot as GS1 and has to be accessed from the back of the building by walking through a loading/unloading area. The decor of the store (you've probably seen pictures) is a little too pretty and polished, i feel, lacking a "guerrilla" quality. The store is not very well stocked for it's size (3-4 times the size of the last singapore store), carrying mostly CdG Shirt for the men's stuff. The staff are a tad too quiet for my liking but the girl did warm up a little at end.

Bought a gold foil wallet.

i went into a new york cdg store today to buy the "2" perfume.... and i received a diabolical customer service.
the woman (salesperson dressed in a cdg outfit) greeted me warmly, but as soon as I asked her "is there anything in the store that's on sale", since it's a summer sale period.... she changed her face into nasty and coldly shot at me "everything that has red on the tag". then, after i selected the perfume I was looking for, i inquired her about a long sleeve striped t-shirt "play" with a heart, she said it's "play" and it's classic and it never goes on sale... i didn't even ask her whether that shirt was on sale or not in the first place, and second she talked with me in a stern voice, like I didn't belong there! what a b*tch!!! i hope she gets fired soon!!!

i visited that store last winter, and i definitely know what you mean by out of the way. a lot of people I talked to in hk had never heard of the area it was in, or the street. it took a while but finally made it after about an hour. i thought the staff where pretty friendly, we had some discussions about the store and hong kong in general.

hey guys! you should come to Berlin to make some shoppingin the new gs!, the athmosphere is so good, you can´t imagine, you can stay speaking 4 hours about a parfum with the people who are in the small_shop...maybe new york is different, i don´t know...but here, they are really nice people i have to say...they are just happy if somebody goes inside and take a look...and they have a lot of sales...i was buying the o71 and i was there for 1 hour!...

in every CDG shop i ve been, they never treated me in a bitchy way, that suprises me honestly?!
Especially at DSM i was having a break from my shopping eating at the bar and the girl that served me she was trying to find me all other DSM to tell me that she found my size on a t-shirt!!!!!!!!the service was amazing and extremly friendly!!

By the way there are some people/customers which they ave nusty behavior so the sales person become nusty to.
ex. When someone entered the store and laughes with the clothes or show disrespect, or try each perufme 1.000.000 time and make a huge mess!

those things really pissing oFF!
