In re-reading that article,even though it might sound a bit pretentious,I like his idea of clothing as sort of heirlooms passing through time. Archeaology makes me think of how things sort of progress with imperfection;ultimately having different lives to them.

maybe it's a lofty idea...but i think it's a nice one...i think it's more idealistic than pretentious...but maybe that just because i'd like to believe that there are still idealists working in fashion...

I agree. When I first heard about I was fairly...unimpressed. But you have to take in to account that it is a noble aspiration. And I appreciate it, even if success doesn't seem likely.
