one of my favourite shoots by her
there's something so glowing and light about her later work, as if she carries the sensitivity from her early days but with softer edges...
i love the second one, so beautifully calm
i like the her work a lot, thanks Estella
calm and sensitive, yet sharp...
from UK VOGUE 01 / 03
Oh, thanks for starting this thread Estella.
I adore the second one in post #3, as well. The colours, how peaceful it is, and I love to cross my legs that way - I find it strangely comfortable, so I feel I just identify with it immediately, even if it's something silly like that
Also, mirrra, "calm and sensitive, yet sharp" is a wonderful way to describe, I think. They aren't exactly dreamy and soft, yet they are still calm, muted, and as you said, senstive... It's a rare quality in a photographer.
ooh, a Nirvana shirt...
i know! it looks lovely on elise.
i've seen most of these editorials and i think i liked them.
Hello! I think these are from Dutch but not entirely sure. Love Kate
and a few more...
My favorite photog
Her pictures have such character
I don´t know all that much about her work, but this editorial that she shot is one of my favourites, I love how she mananged to have it so bright and colourful and still give it such an air of gloom..
is there a site where a lot/all of her work has been represented?
Day is definetily one of my favourite modern photographers. I like the rawness of her work (esp in the grunge-era), and nowadays all the colours she uses. Hasn't she once published a book or something? I wish I could have a book with all her work. She's inspiring.
there´s a site, www.corinneday.co.uk, but I´ve only visited it briefly so I don´t know how much of her work is on there.
thanks much ^^
great pics, thnx eostre.
