Sorry, I don't know where this show took place, although the photos are from www.photoparismode.com so I suppose it was in Paris?

Many people were asking about the FW Cosmic Wonder photos, so here they are

Oh wow...alot of this so reminds me of Mad Max somehow. Kind of peasant-like. The group of white are my faves.

That said, and as much I love CW,I do kind of wish Yukinori would move away from the camping scenario's. They're getting a bit repetitive, really. Unlike his presentations before which were totally unpredictable.

yeah it was during paris fahsion week...

I love CW, I feel liek I have alo in common with him style/concept wise.
The collection seems 'organic' than some of his past ones, it has a sort of tribal/nomad/journey feeling that i like alot. I love how there is a 'spiritual' element in the clothes/presentation.

they're like from the graduation shows of art schools more than a real paris fashion presentation

Really you think so? I like their presentation. It feels very polished and well executed. It's a bit of fresh air from the standard showroom presentation.

I like their presentation as well. I agree that it doesn't fit into what is the "standard" easily. Some people work well with (or sometimes need) tradition, others don't find it entirely useful.

Scott... Since the presentation itself is such an important part of Cosmic Wonder, I do wish they would do something new as well, as something about this show felt a bit repetitive, or perhaps better put, underdeveloped. That's just me, though.

Well, definitely in the respect of the "show",there are more evocative ways to show clothes. I think installations or static presentations are far more interesting and visually stimulating(most times)than the standard catwalk.

I do agree with you about this show, cerfas. I like that it's more simplified but there's really nothing that grabs me. And yes indeed, the vision of his presentations are a tremendous part of his work.

I just think because his work is so simple, the presentations often balance what he does rather well. There's really not alot one gets out of this. Unlike a Jurgi Persoons(who did these shows successfully),whose work had so much texture, embellishments and volumes...his work could actually speak for itself.

I don't really think Cosmic Wonder is 'simple' .

Personally i really like the presentations, becuase I think they are intresting, I like the whole idea. it fits with the spirit of the clothes IMO. I think he could do something mroe though, considering they hae all been relativly the same the last couple seasons.

I don't mean simple in the sense of conservatism or blandness. Just that it's really quiet. But I agree, his presentations often fit together.

Spacemiu- I also love the spiritual or mystical feel of Cosmic Wonder...The pyramid definitely fits into that.
This stark pyramid sculpture reminds me of the last Indigo People presentation I saw, with the house form.
My favorite photo from this bunch is the one of the girl with the hooded cape obscuring her face
Second favorite is the last one , girl with the drum
Random thoughts, barely strung together.
I wonder if there is music at these presentations?
