Its cheese of course it is.. but its not bad for you unless you eat heaps. You can get Low fat cottage cheese.

Actually, you can get nonfat cottage cheese, though it isn't that great. The sort made with 1% fat tastes pretty good, though, and is not too bad for you, as far as fat and cholesterol are concerned.

It is a quick way to get a good dose of calcium, and with some chopped up chives and whatever other seasonings you fancy, it makes a great alternative salad dressing (it tastes wonderful, though it looks thoroughly disgusting).

i love cottage cheese...

it can be fatty, about 5 g per serving... but you need fat in your diet.

you are right, cottage cheese is always on light menus as a good side if you are watching your weight.

It's good for you and I do believe that it is the least fattening cheese.

Just be careful how long you leave it in your fridge. It tends to go bad faster than most cheeses.... I learned that the hard way
