Jade Lai decided to do a resort collection for the first time because of her own impending retail demands: She plans on opening her first stand-alone store in the coming months and foresees needing product to refresh the floor between fall and spring. That said, the collection felt practical within her quirky, cerebral and downtown point of view.
A pink suit was shrunken and oversize at the same time with a big jacket and wide cropped pants. Orange ribbed knits provided a burst of offbeat color and some body consciousness, while a loose, boxy jumpsuit with a nautical rope tie at the neckline satisfied a whimsical spirit.
