Creatures of Comfort S/S 2015 New York

“Going into the wild and venturing new frontiers” was the inspiration for the Creatures of Comfort show, according to creative director Jade Lai, speaking backstage before the show. The collection featured Western accents, such as madras plaids and raffia cowboy hats, as well as safari and utilitarian pieces and fluid silhouettes worked in textured fabrics with a natural feel. Standouts included a mustard-*colored maxi trenchcoat worn over a knit dress decorated with fringe, and roomy pants and matching tank top in a soft cactus print, making the line appropriate for both exotic explorations and the concrete jungle.

I like it, it looks very organic. It's simple and wearable, the color is great.

I wanted to hate it because when the store started it was such hipster crap, but they really matured as a brand. I really like this collection for the most part. It also seems to be aimed at a more mature audience as well.
