yep, today it was announced that the Crown Princess Mary from Australia ist mit baby with Crown Prince Frederik of Denmark -- they got married in May last year and now she's set to give birth at the end of October. I'm personally hoping for a girl, but no matter the sex I think they deserve a congratuations

^they don't. She wasn't royal when she lived in Australia. But she became a princess when she married crown prins Frederik of Denmark.

i don't understand why in many countries of Europe there are royals families.

i'm spanish and i don't like the royals families, they are important in the past, but now, they only serves to the people talk about his marriages and divorces, and lovers, and babys and others scandals.

^Because they are rolemodels. The danish royal family is very down to earth, and that's probably why we like them as much as we do in Denmark. Besides, it's an old tradition and that's very appriciated these days.

They make a nice couple. I'm a bit of a sucker for royals and I actually shed a tear myself when I saw Frederik weeping during the wedding ceremony.
