I am a lover of Cuban Music and the Beuna Vista Social Club.

For me Habana has a real charm, a city maintaining pride during times of adversity. In amongst the crumbling facades of beautiful, elegant buildings one can see a determination by the Cuban people to retain a unique style and panache for living.

Perhaps a country that could teach something to others - making culture (in the form of ballet and music) a priority and available to everyone. Proving that even during difficult times one can still live a life with flair and swagger.

Love to know your thought on Cuba and its musical culture.

I love Cuban music. I remember this band of elderly Cubans in Central Park, caught them a few times one summer, they'd do all these Cuban classics and sounded so beautiful.

Not really into the more upbeat rhythms and I don't know much names but I like the songs Agustín Lara got from Cuban song-writers, and I can totally sit through danzón, and boleros, which have both become very underrated unfortunately.
