the problem with neophyte labels like cushnie et ochs remains that they don't get all that much press when they do something new and they receive even less when they don't capture fashion's imagination. unfortunately, this collection didn't propose anything all that groundbreaking, but there exist some pieces in this collection that would make for outstanding staples for even the best dressed. some of those pants, jackets, and dresses would look great in a mix-and-match designer look. give me that white dress with a bold ralph lauren belt and a to-the-knee pucci boot any day of the week.
