D*ck Page - Makeup Artist

I noticed there is no thread about Dick Page, and I love his work.

Maybe we can gather something about him.
I first heard about him many years ago, he was one of the first to talk about the whole no-makeup makeup which became a trend. He started using cheap lipsticks as cream blushes (long before they existed as a common item in the market) and insisted on keeping the girl´s "sheen" in their faces, even when a powdered face was almost a must do.
He has worked with Shiseido as a creative director.

He usually works with Marc Jacobs, and has worked for Gucci, HElmut Lang, Carolina Herrera among many others.

I adore his anarchic approach to makeup, he always seems to be mixing different and unusual things things, sometimes using pure pigments, to get always the best natural look.

Dick Page, Shiseido Artistic Director, in action backstage at the Zero+Maria Cornejo show last week.

He was going for an “outlandish look” to complement the collection’s bold colors and geometric shapes. With custom blended colors from Shiseido’s Yokohama Lab in Japan, Page added a slash of color to highlight pure skin and bring focus to the eyes.

When asked how this look could translate to everyday life, Page told us a swipe of white or cobalt blue liner across the lid would have the same effect without being too eccentric.
