Teaser…later covers revealed

Love the concept and the colors but zooming on her face looks like she’s smelling something terrible 🫠

When taken as a whole, these covers go to show why D has been and continues to lead in today's (mediocre) editorial landscape.

Anja's cover by Carlijn is the one that makes me want to see the story inside though. The others...not so much.

On another note, three covers and all with white women. I don't think diversity should be a tick box thing and I thought we were past that but Edward was right when told the BBC that fashion is becoming regressive in its beauty standards and despite what many grumblers here seem to say, that going hand in hand with a worrying and increasing right wing rhetoric in Western politics is reason for concern.

^ 100% agreed. It's not acceptable anymore the lack of diversity in publications, shows, whatever. People need to get a grip.

On a lighter note, I want to like Anja's cover but there's something about it that isn't right. It looks somehow flat and the shiny fabric makes this YSL look kind of cheap to be honest. I do like the colours, though, but as a whole it's a no.
Cover #3 is actually ok (because it looks a bit like the 90's).

I like all three covers but Anja's by Jacobs is the strongest. I do not mind seeing three white women on the covers and I do not think the magazine lacks diversity as they have featured women of color in past issues.

I think that all three covers and editorials are fabulous. I was expecting more of a travel/landscape story from Jacobs but I love the majority of the shots of Anja. The fashion editorial by Galiegue incorporates landscapes in a more satisfactory way and a few of the shots are really strong. The fashion editorial by Kean is lovely because it is the most intimate of the proposal. Finally, the fashion editorial by Copeland has all the edgyness and coolness that I love.

If I lived in Italy, I would definitely be picking a copy up.

Why is fashion photography so tepid these days? None of these stories are particularly bad, but they're not great either. It's all so tasteful, competent and ultimately dull. Where's the unique POV and proposition from the photographers and stylists?

These stories barely elicit a shrug from me, but like I said, none are terrible so that's a win I guess???

If anyone interested in layouts…for me the strongest story is Robin’s story. Mark’s seem lazy at this point and Carljin was cute.

Inside there is an interview with Erdem, an article with this makeup artist that went as Miranda P to PFW and one article about the debutting designers for this season by Angelo Flaccavento.

Was this your favorite cover out of the three? Everything looks so good in the issue.

I like Mark Kean's ed. He's becoming very relevant after shooting The Row and TF. He just shot the cover Chloé story for Another with Libby and that's also good.
But I agree 100% with @WinstonH20 re: the beigeness.
