D La Repubblica Spring 2025: The Fashion Issue Volume 3 by Drew Vickers

Anja Rubik in Saint laurent by Anthony Seklaoui. I am so fed up with this saint laurent collection and anja everywhere.:ninjas: I normally like her, but there is too much and her recent work is hardly interesting looking plus this YSL stuff is literally everywhere and we`re only entering march. gimme a break

I have to say, I am surprised that I really love Drew/Anok/Carlos story. Despite that I am far from being a fan of any of them. But this bizarre locations, colors, styling and hats/wigs make this story the best in their portfolios.

Anja story is sensual but nothing special. Apart from her legs, there is nothing really to look at and you can’t really see anything (let’s remember dec/jan vogue France story, same). However the execution isn’t really typical but Sekaloui can’t really handle a camera despite he shot film and not digital. He really needs a good direction.

Galiegue really bothers me to death lately, however normally I keep an eye on him. He shot good only on locations, his studio works leaves much to be desired. And he is literally in every magazine I purchase (m le monde, D, holiday, bazaar France, self service). Plus this dull casting, hairdo and cliche stylish of Jacob K with leggings and oversized pumps - snoozefest.

Thank you for sharing, Zorka!

There is something tricky about Venus story. Like i don’t know if it was shot entirely in a room with fake background or the background is real in some shots. Trippy

I really like Drew’s shoot. Feel like all the backdrops are AI but it works. Hard to understand how this is the same person who shot those awful (in my opinion though the rest of y’all seem to love) Burberry ads

However bit weird that both D and MLeMonde both basically have the same line up this week; Seklaoui and his desperation to put the gucci past behind him, and Galiegue and his pictures of the undead!

D's Volume III is very strong visually. The fashion stories "Venus" by Vickers and "Clean Cuts" by Galiegue are amazing.
