I'd wish she went to another agency both she and Mo Wandan are at Next and there isn't room for two Chinese top models. She should join Women in New York I'm sure they'll take her. I also think she should do nudes for Playboy believe it or not, incredible publicity and have a famous photographer like Peter Beard photograph her in an exotic location like Africa. She needs to take more control of her career instead of waiting for handouts, JUST DEMAND IT!!!

She looks a bit awkward in runway pics. I dont know, her face's just not as appealing and memorable as those of the existing international asian models like Du Juan, Ai etc. I can't quite see high fashion in her either. Her eds are gorgeous - asians with 'ultra-eastern' features can easily appear as beautiful as she is in those shots though

^I think her face is very aloof and not cute like Du Juan, Pei Bei or Mo Wandan. So I agree with you there, but I don't think anyone can doubt that she's beautiful, and gorgeous. Her face is more high fashion than Du Juan's or Pei Bei's faces, Mo is just too cute and pretty so let her do high fashion. The pics you saw were from the competition she was in to become a model in 2003 so she had no experience in catwalk modeling yet..........But I posted a video in this thread a while back and she moves like a snake.

^ agreed. The swimsuit show is not proper fashion...and she is smiling too. Look at the dior catalogue pics and you can see she is so beautiful in a drop dead gorgeous way, not cute or doll like.

Here is an interview with Natasha Poly, in which she describes the competition and stress in modeling. She says she overcomes the stress by talking to other models, one can infer it's with the other Russian models. She talks about "a lot of Asians (models) coming with "us" on the shows." She grimaces and shows disgust after she makes that statement as though Asian models are not in the same league or "competition." Like there is a distinction between "us" and "them." I guess the Asian girls are flooding the modeling circuit, and the fashion crowd is noticing it. Russian or otherwise Dai Xiaoyi is more beautiful than many of the top models.
