I had to check twice if this was really the Damir Doma thread. I actually really like what he did here! It seems less contrived than his recent efforts that were just confusing but completely ugly. This is elegant and it incorporates some of his signature elements very nicely. This looks like it's finally a step into the right direction again, I like quite a few things here. The last three looks in post #1 are lovely, and I love all the looks in that somewhat disgusting dark-olive green color This is cool!
What a departure! Usually a fan of his darker, layered collections, this was a pleasant surprise. It is so clean and light. Wonderful bursts of colors and shapes. Refreshing collection.
This was a true breakthrough for him. It combines his usual signatures with an elegant, precise and desirable approach. It has just the right balance of restraint and creativity. I see great things for this guy.
I don't know, a collection like this could just be shown in New York, no? Not much here that you can't find elsewhere. The clothes you can't, well, I'd rather not find.
it's nice to see him break away from his usual nomadic schtick and frankly i do like some elements like the cut-out dots, the olives and that group of navy and black. and the cutting is marvelous. who knew he could make such a sophisticated collection?
definitely an exercise in restraint, but i don't think that has to mean ordinary and boring, and i certainly don't think it means that in this case. this is very very beautiful.
This is probably one of my fave shows for the season, great cuts, and just simple, elegant clothes. The choice of fabrics and perforated polka dots were also refreshing.
