I haven't heard anything bad about it. The only "negative" thing that they all keep repeating is that the show is outdated for the times. This however makes no sense considering the show IS set in the 50/60s and therefore is meant to be outdated. It's a satire about those times. What did they expect? Critics these days are all unoriginal and just vomit up what other critics have already said.

And NY Times stopped being credible awhile ago, IMO.

I saw the show twice, previews and last night for work and I thoroughly enjoyed it, thought Dan did a really great job, he's come on from previews-he's no natural song & dance man like Hugh Jackman though. I agree, most of the reviews were largely positive and generally the negativity has come from out of the piece being dated but the flaws lie with Ashfords choreography and direction. But the fact remains that Isherwood and Brantley still hold a considerable weight on Broadway as reviewers. I have no doubt that Dan will receive a Tony nomination though
